Chapter 1
Annabeth's POV
"All aboard the Argo II express! Choo-Choo!"
I let out a much needed laugh as Leo Valdez, captain of the Argo II, appeared off the edge and hollered at its soon to be passengers. Jason Grace, who now had his memory back, was standing there with him and gave him a high-five. Piper had just gotten off the ship and was standing with a couple of select people who weren't any of the seven, but had talents that were vital to the quest.
Among them were Nina Mason, A daughter of Apollo, December Paxton, a daughter of Iris, Jenna Hanes, Piper's half-sister, Clair Roberts, my half-sister, and Aubrey James, a daughter of Hades.
Nina was an aspiring musician who had a knack for healing and never, ever missed her target. She was the only Apollo camper to use a sword, a gorgeous thing made of a combination of Tampered Silver and Celestial Bronze called Ilospsistis, or Sunchaser. She had long blonde hair and exotic brown eyes.
December was a hyper-active ball of energy who would give a drunken guy grief. She had blonde hair which she died insane colors, at the time it was green in the front. Her eyes change colors from pink to blue to green to purple. She usually resorted to a Celestial Bronze dagger kept up her sleeve or in her combat boots.
Jenna was an extremely pretty girl with, again, blonde hair and ocean blue eyes. Although she may not look like it, she could kill brutally and also had the power to charm-speak.
Clair was, by far, one of the smartest people I knew. She wanted to be a roller coaster designer and had already designed three called Zeus's Bolt, Poseidon's Trident, and Hades' Helm that were under production. She had bright red hair and my same stormy grey eyes.
Aubrey was dark girl who had been worried sick ever since her older brother Nico di Angelo had gone missing. She was a great necromancer with thick black hair, striking obsidian eyes, and pale, pale skin.
As soon as everyone was ready and had said their goodbyes, we climbed aboard the Argo II and took off, flying into the air at amazing speeds. The girls went into their private rooms to change while Jason and Leo took turns steering and seeing who could distract the other the most while the other was steering.
A couple of minutes later, Nina came up to me in a pair of loose fitted jeans and a plain white t-shirt. Her skin was glowing, especially since she never had to put on sunscreen. Sheathed, and at her side, was Sunchaser. She put her arms on the edge of the deck and stayed silent. I liked that about Nina, she may be a bright and happy daughter of Apollo, but she knew when to give people their space.
I want to check out my rooms after making sure that the girls would make sure that Leo or Jason, but mainly Leo, didn't drive us into a cliff or something. I collapsed on the bed and took out a few drawings of what I planned to build after Olympus re-opened. Their were, of course, tons of statues of the gods, but I also included some new ides, like the master version of Clair's coasters. After doodling a bit, I relaxed on to the bed. What seemed like minutes later, I heard Leo's voice yelling to wake me up.
We had landed.
