I know you're somewhere out there
Somewhere far away
I want you back
I want you back
My neighbours think I'm crazy
But they don't understand
You're all I have
You're all I have
At night when the stars
Light on my room
I sit by myself
Talkin' to the moon, tryin' to get to you
In hopes you're on the other side talking to me too
Or am I fool who sits alone
Talking to the moon?
"Hey," she said, barely audible from cracking on the one-syllable word, "Today's your birthday, isn't it? I hope you had a big party with Sirius, Tonks, Lupin, James, Lily, Colin and everyone else you're up there with right now."
For once, the redhead let a salty tear roll down her cheek. She was too thin to be considered healthy, with deep purple bags under her eyes from lack of sleep and it looked like the tear stains on her cheeks would never wash off.
"George wouldn't let us throw a party. He said it wasn't right and it never would be." He voice quivered, "It'll never be the same without you here, Fred. We miss you so much."
She wiped at her eyes and looked into the moon, "George moved out of the flat about your joke-shop and back here. He hasn't come out of his room except to use the restroom. Ron and Harry are looking over the shop but we know George will go back soon."
Her eyes were stinging too much to stop herself from crying anymore. Tears spilled from her eyes in big, fat clumps as she leaned her head against the window. "It's hard, being without you. It's never going to be the same but it's going to get better little by little.
She sobbed, she wailed, she bawled.
"I love you." she managed to get out, "Happy birthday."
The door creaked open. "Gin what's goi—." Harry ran to the window seat to hold the shaking redhead.
"It's hard, it's so hard. I just hate this." she buried her face into his chest.
His grip on her tightened, "I know it is. But you have to stay strong for him, okay?"
She nodded, crying too hard to speak.
They stayed like that for awhile, until the sobs stopped and Ginny fell asleep in Harry's arms. Eventually he fell asleep, too, his head resting on hers.
