Karma watched from her position in the rafters as the man took out the case with the weapon. The other three men watched with blank faces as he placed it on the table. She quickly noticed that the case had the logo Oscorp on the side. "Here is the weapon. Now where is my money?" The man demanded.
Karma shook her head, watching from the rafters. The man was too blind to see that he had been double crossed. She rolled her eyes before dropping behind the "buyers", using the wind to cushion her fall.
The first man was the easiest. He was down before he even knew what was happening. The second pulled out a gun, trying to shoot Karma, but she dropped to the ground and kicked his legs out from under him. He fell and a quick kick to his head knocked him out.
There was the sound of a gun being cocked and a loud cry of "Enough!". Karma slowly stood up, keeping her back to the two men left. A grin spread across her face as her eyes turned silver and she quickly turned around, blasting the men with a wall of air. The last buyer hit the table and flew over it, crashing into the seller.
"Sorry gentlemen, but I'm just going to take this from you." Karma says out loud to the empty room. She grabbed the case and walked outside, grabbing her phone from her pocket.
She pressed the call button and held it up to her ear, waiting for the familiar beep. "Sir, its Karma. I have the package." She listened to the familiar voice at the end before ending the call with a 'yes sir'. Next stop, Washington DC.
Karma stepped off the jet, glad to finally be able to stand and walk around after that long and boring flight. She spotted Jim automatically, seeing as he was dressed up in a suit. She smirked before walking over.
"Think you could be any less suspicious?" She asked, pushing her sunglasses up so that they were resting on her head.
"What are you talking about? I totally blend in." Jim countered.
"You're dressed like you're going to a funeral."
"Maybe I am. They don't know. People don't pay attention." Jim said, looking around at the many people walking around. Karma sighed before smiling at him.
"Should we get going? I really don't want to be late."
"Your right, then we definitely would be attending a funeral." Karma rolled her eyes and smacked him on the arm lightly, but she knew he was right. Director Booth had a short temper, and you did not want to tick him off.
The car ride to the CIA was full of small talk and catching up on the past month that they hadn't seen each other. Karma told Jim about her latest mission in Chicago, while Jim told her what had happened in DC.
"Do you think we can trust SHIELD anymore?" Jim asked, looking over at Karma then turning his eyes back to the road.
"No, they tried to blow up New York and now this?" Karma sighed and turned her gaze out the window. "We're just lucky that superheroes actually exist." Jim nodded his head in agreement before turning into headquarters.
Karma got out of the car and said a quick goodbye to Jim before hurrying into the elevator and pressing the 10 button. Karma crossed her arms and watched as the numbers slowly changed. They seriously needed to fix the elevator.
The elevator soon opened and Karma stepped out and into the Directors office, which was the whole floor. His giant desk was in the top right hand corner next to the window. There was a mini kitchen in the top left corner of the room in case he had to stay late at night. There were also a couple of bookshelves to the left, and a tv and computer to the right.
Karma walked up to the desk, studying her boss to see what kind of mood he was in today. "The mission was a success, sir." She said, looking her boss straight in the eyes.
"Good job Agent Ashford. I have a new mission for you. On July 28th you are leaving for a small town in Ohio. We have gotten information that people are building and testing new weapons there. All the information you need is in this file. You think you can handle that?" He asked.
"Yes sir" Karma answered, picking up the file.
