Sakura of Hoshigakure; Book One, The untold tale.
A/N: Story is slightly AU, but not really. Slightly cannon with entirely different roles and places in the story, eventually will branch off from cannon but not too much.
This IS a SasuSaku fic, that's already been decided. But there will be lots of PeinSaku and some intended NaruSaku, but mainly SasuSaku. There will also (clearly) be a second installment of this story.
I do not own Naruto.
Part One.
Chapter One; Fallen Stars
One day before the Jubi was split into the Tailed Beasts by The Rikudō Sennin …
His body was growing weak, he was well aware of that. The beast within him would soon gain freedom by his inevitable death, but he felt a sort of peace, he knew things would turn out alright. Whenever the balance is threatened, a hero will always emerge. The great monk remained in the center of the sacred garden, deep in meditation. Yet he felt the tailed beast screaming to be freed.
As he meditated, a great prophecy played before his eyes. He called upon his youngest son and asked the young Rennigan user to stroll through the gardens with him.
"My son," He spoke, looking into the lavender eyes of his son, eyes that very much so resembled his own. "I have seen a great prophecy, I shall die today." He said softly, placing a palm on his sons shoulder, which now shook gently with sadness, though the boy didn't show it, fear and sadness swam in his eyes.
"Do not weep, my son." The sage spoke, gently squeezing his young child's shoulder with a soft smile, "There is something I need you to do for me, my last request to my beloved son." The old monk said, his voice portraying the great importance of what he was about to bestow upon his son.
"Anything." The boy said sternly, determined to carry out his fathers wishes to the best of his abilities.
"You must give this-" He spoke, presenting his six-ringed staff to the young boy, "To your child and all children after, they shall pass it down to a child, a child born in the out lands, yet to be claimed by man. It will be called The village of the stars."
Confused by his father's words, the younger son tilted his head, "Father, I don't understand. How will we know where we must go, and who to give it to?" He questioned.
The monk thought for a moment, his eyes scanning through the garden, plush with vegetation in the warm spring weather, before plucking a gentle blossom,
"The child's hair will look like the fresh spring petals of a cherry blossom."
Nearly Two Hundred Years Later…
(A/N: I'm just estimating the time distances here, I should be nearly correct though, I apologize for any errors. & Tsunade IS a part of the Senju clan, which originated from the Sage of Six Path's youngest son, (The one he entrusted with his staff.) Which has been passed down generation to generation within the family, and after reading a note her Granduncle left for her (AKA: The second Hokage) She is fulfilling the prophecy of her family. At the current moment she is )
Tsunade leapt through the dense forest, dodging the thick clouds of poisonous fog, the Senju symbol proudly displayed across her back and a bundle of ancient wrapped, lavender silk in her arms, smelling of old soil and basement. She sighed, wondering just what was so important about doing this; the old man must have lost his mind.
"Take this to Hoshigakure, take it to the Third Hoshikage, and tell him to give it to his daughter."
The request was weird and, but now the 'ancient Senju artifact was to be passed down to its rightful owner', or however weird way her uncle had put it. She was reaching the boarders of the small village and could see a great gathering of people, all wearing smiles as they danced and clapped and played through the dusty roads. She craned her neck to see what the hell all the celebration was about and as her chestnut colored eyes focused on the balcony of the Kage tower her heart leaped.
It was the Third Hoshikage, it had to be, extending into the air what appeared to be a small infant, wrapped in blankets of lavender silk, but what caught her attention was the child within, with a head of petal pink hair.
'Borne of the cherry blossom.' Her Uncle had said something strange like that, but she didn't think it would be so literal. Who the hell had pink hair? Well… Dan had white hair, so she couldn't really judge. She thought with a sigh, tucking the bundle under her arms as she leapt from her perch and prepared to blend into the festivities.
She was careful not to touch it; the note from her Granduncle had made it eerily clear that it was a very dangerous object. Tsunade peered at the village, her golden hair flowing softly in the slight spring breeze, what an appropriate scene for a child of such an appearance.
She pushed through the wave of villagers, ignoring the groans and protests of those she pushed from her way. Staying in comfortable, yet annoyed silence she came to the entrance of the Kage tower and was immediately greeted by two ANBU, adorning the headband of their village, a single star proudly carved within the metal of the plate.
"What is your business here?" A voice from behind the mask of a wolf questioned, age and sex hidden by the tight armor and the muffling of the mask, though the height and broad shoulders suggested male.
Tsunade offered a small nod of respect and held out her Passport, showing she was of Konohagakure. One of the ANBU with the mask of a china doll stepped forward, a woman- she assumed- with long raven colored hair, "Follow us." She said, the feminine voice confirming Tsunade's suspicions.
The man with the wolf mask walked behind her, and the raven haired woman walked beside her as they ascended up a –seemingly unending- spiraling staircase. With an annoyed grunt from Tsunade they had reached the top of the staircase and been greeted by a very lavish hall with deep purple walls, decorated with gold trim and very carefully polished floors, oil paintings of past Kage's- there weren't many- lined their way to the Kage's office.
The woman carefully wrapped her knuckles against the door, waiting for a reply.
"Hm, who is this?" A soft voice questioned, causing the three to turn their heads. The Third Hoshikage stood behind them, a bottle in hand. His face kind and features soft as he focused his eyes on the unknown third person, Tsunade.
"I am Tsunade, of the Hidden Leaf Village and the Senju clan." She nodded, reaching into her pocket to retrieve her passport, but a raised hand from the Hoshikage paused her movements.
"No need," He smiled, before turning to the two ANBU and giving them a small nod, which in tern left Tsunade and the Hoshikage alone in the hallway, "Come." He waved happily. Tsunade followed silently behind the Kage; Shocked by the carefree nature of the man. She wasn't sure what to expect when she came all the way out here, but this certainly wasn't it.
"You know why I'm here?" She questioned as they stopped at one of the veins of the hallway and before one of the traditional paper doors, decorated with paintings of cranes and cherry blossoms. The Hoshikage smiled and opened the door to reveal an infant's room, painted a soft white with lavender accents.
"You're from the Senju clan, I don't need to know more, the prophecy foretold your arrival before you were even born." He nodded, walking to the side of a white crib, and staring down lovingly at the child, placing the bottle into her small mouth.
"She's beautiful." Tsunade said as she stared down at the child, who was truly a sight. Pale skin, long raven lashes that fanned down to touch the curious looking child's rosy cheeks. Tuffs of pink curls circling the child's head, little eyes still closed, as if at perfect peace.
"She is, a true gift to the village." He smiled. "All you need to do is touch her with the staff." Tsunade was taken aback by his words; even she didn't know just what was inside the bindings, though this assured any suspicions she might have had. "How did you-" She found herself trying to ask anyway, mouth slightly dry with this incredibly weird and surreal situation.
"I told you, we've been waiting on you for a while." He smiled, cutting her off.
Tsunade cautiously stepped forward, her heart fluttered a bit as she pulled the black drawstring connected to the lavender fabric, watching as it slipped away, revealing a dusty six-ringed monk staff. Being sure not to touch the staff itself, she rocked forward on her heels, dipping the tip of the staff down ever so gently.
As the child's eyes flew open, Tsunade nearly jumped back, thoroughly creeped out. A small, feeble hand reached up and laced itself through one of the six rings and just like that the staff forced Tsunade away, crimson and blue sparks wrapping itself around the golden staff.
Tsunade groaned, bringing a hand to her forehead, her body still tingling from the harsh jolt of electric-like energy.
As she rose to her feet she watched the Third Hoshikage slowly re-wrap the staff, careful not to allow it to touch his skin in the process. As he turned to the young blonde leaf Nin, she saw a glimpse of age-old wisdom in his eyes. It was odd; she didn't think you could tell that much about a person just from a simple look. But somehow, it was as if assuring her that the artifact was safe here- that it belonged here.
"Would it be possible for you to return to visit us someday?" He questioned, his back turned to the blonde Kunoichi. She sensed something off in his voice, something saddening, but didn't ask.
Tsunade was puzzled by his words but nodded, her blonde, spiky ponytail swayed at the motion, "Yeah, sure thing."
"Good. I'm sure Sakura would like that." He smiled, his gaze turning to a nearby window, staring almost lovingly at the stars that hung from the sky. They seemed to be brighter here, ironically.
"Yeah, I do too." Tsunade nodded. So, he named her Sakura. Poor kid. With her name and that pink hair kids are sure to give her a hard time. She thought to herself with a smirk. She dubbed this day as possibly the strangest in her life.

Alright, I edited this chapter. I cleaned up the spelling and set up the best I could and tried to make it more sensible and less sloppy, but I can tell that it is, but at least the story is clearer and easier to read. Please enjoy and continue reading, leave a follow and review to tell me if the chapter has improved and if you're a new reader please feel free to follow to keep up with new updates.
