Disclaimer: I own nothing

Sometimes she wishes she could lead someone else's life.

On those days when everything is hidden in shades of gray, and all color seems washed out from life…

On those days, she wears sparkles.

And pretends.

…It's been around for as she can remember.

The strange feeling in her chest.

Heavy.

Twisting.

A Burning Cold.

...it's not until she is eight that she learns the word.

Loneliness.

…But why?

She has everything!

All the money, all the gold, all the jewels…

But then it all changed.

And she saw the truth.

….she's the girl who has everything…

And nothing.

It all changed when they came to the hotel.

The twins.

Carey.

And…

…Maddie.

Who was this Irish blonde girl who sparkled from nothing at all?

(Poor was a new concept, she knew that it existed…she just never knew anyone who really was... poor…)

She hated her.

And she loved her.

…Because Maddie was the girl who had nothing…

…and everything.

(And on that day she saw the truth she wore her most sparkly sparkle outfit ever, a blinding light for all the world to see she was fine she was perfect she was special)

And …wished she could have someone else's life.

Just for a day.

And then a miracle.

( God loves her after all, she thought He had forgotten her)

Daddy losses everything- the money, the gold, the jewels…

And she's poor.

And it's wonderful.

She goes home with this strange blonde Irish girl- and there're people everywhere.

Little brothers and little sisters and Grandmother Fitzpatrick and Grandpa Fitzpatrick.

And Ms. Fitzpatrick ( "Call me Mom")

And Mr. Fitzpatrick( "Call me Dad ")

And for one moment hung aloft in time…

She's the girl with everything….

…and nothing.

She doesn't need the sparkles that day.

(And then it's over….Daddy gets the money back….but she remembers that day, the day she found out how words like Family and Love fit together)

Time passes.

Different places- stuck in this Stupid Sea School.

(…without Maddie….)

But she never forgot that day.

…So here she is.

In the middle of nowhere after surviving a Corn Goblin and a tornado and wearing overalls on a farm…

But she remembers.

And it doesn't matter that she hasn't seen Daddy since her sixteenth birthday…

Because she knows what Family means.

( it's twin blue-and green twinkling eyes and skin that smells of corn and… silk pocket-handkerchiefs…)

And for time, a short, fragile fleeting moment…

She's the girl with Everything.

And she shines all on her own.

I have always wanted to be a piece on London. She is so much more than what she seems. Reviewers receive hugs and Confetti Cake.
