Lily Evans. She was always the perfect girl- perfect grades, perfect manners, you name it, she had it.
James Potter. He was the troublemaker- the marauders, pranking anyone for anything. you name it, they probably did it.
Why did the troublemaker fall in love with the perfect girl? But more importantly, how did he win her over?
It all started when one day in the sixth year, when James Potter was in the library looking for a book on Transfiguration.
Muffled cries came out from behind the bookcases where James was hunting in the restricted section for a textbook. Intrigued, he followed the sound and saw a familiar shade of red hair turned to the back of him.
"Evans?" he called out, only to be ignored by the girl- as per usual.
"Lily? C'mon, whats going on?" he moved closer to her and put his hand on her shoulder. She turned around, surprised by the unusual affection the hazel-eyed boy.
"Like you would care, Potter. What are you even doing in the library? I thought the marauders were too good for studying," She answered curtly, wiping the tears coming down her face.
"Evans, Sirius said that. Contrary to his name, he is never very serious. Moony and I really do care about getting good marks. Now please, I actually want to help you. I won't tell the marauders or anyone just please- let me help," James pleaded, pulling his hand away from her shoulder.
Lily looked up at James, at water started to rush down her face again. "I can fake smiles, force laughs and dance and play the role of the perfect girl, but i'm only human. I can crash, and break down, and peoples words in my head are like knives in my heart you can build me up just for me to fall apart because i'm only human. I just turn it on and be a good machine, hold the weight of both worlds because that's what they wa-"
Lily was cut off by James connecting his lips with her's. She seemed startled at first, but then she relaxed until they both pulled away as if in perfect sync.
"Jam- What?"
"You don't know how long i've wanted to do that for, Lily. And you're not only human, you're bloody Lily Evans. You're the greatest witch of our age, and you make people do a double-take when you walk past. You can do it. You, Lily Evans, can do anything."
So, that was my first FanFiction. Just a short Jily one-shot about how I dream they got together. It's not great, but I tried. Please Read and Review.
