Her Whispers
"Negi-sensei, a-ano, ummm…" Nodoka was once again stuttering. Of course with a slight blush spreading across her cheeks. Yuueh simply sighed. She was slightly irritated. She nearly gave up hope. It was yet again another clumsy greeting with their teacher.
She almost gave up helping her, but she was her friend. She couldn't help but be of help.
"Good morning sensei. Let's go Nodoka." Yuueh practically dragged her. Nodoka was still blushing; bowing a million times. Gomen, gomen… she muttered under breath.
Negi was baffled. He's mouth was gaping wide. "N-nani…" he wondered.
Yuueh and Nodoka turned a corner. Nodoka was still muttering an apology under her breath.
"Nodoka…"Yuueh said in her monotonous tone of voice. "…teacher Negi is just our teacher….I don't see why it takes you 5 minutes to greet him 'good morning'."
Nodoka simply looked down; blushing more than she should. Yuueh sighed again.
"Nodoka, I know it's hard. Believe me. It's hard on my part too…" Yuueh whispered the last part causing Nodoka to look up. She raised an eyebrow.
"Huh? Yuueh?" Yuueh was looking down as well. Her shoulders tremble from the soft sobs that escaped her lips. Sweet melodious drops of tears stained the marbled floor. Nodoka placed her hand on Yuueh's shoulder; her concern for her friend growing. Yuueh finally looked up. Her eyes were slightly red. Then there seemed a pause so serene that it was hard to break even if it was as fragile as a sheet of thin ice. Then in a swift motion Yuueh captured Nodoka's lips with hers.
Nodoka's eyes were wide with bewilderment. Confusion rapidly set in. Yuueh looked down once more.
"I'm so sorry, Nodoka…" she whispered. Then in her thoughts, she said, "…I'm sorry that I had been hiding this all along…" Then after one more glance, Yuueh took off; leaving behind Nodoka with her expression blank and puzzled.
But then she smiled. "I love you too, Yuueh…" she gently whispered as she slowly felt her lips. Tears then started to stream down as the soft smile was plastered on her face. "I forgive you. Even if there was nothing to forgive…"
