Just something I wrote during creative writing instead of doing my work. I don't own Harry Potter, Im just playing with them. I'll leave them back where I found them. First piece of ff ever so please be gentle.
He saw her from the bottom of the stairs before she saw him. Her deep crimson hair fell back down past her shoulders; her mouth chatting easily. He caught her eye and she gave a small wave. Her green eyes sparkled as she turned and walked away. His smile, the one that was only for her, fell and he moved towards class.
That summer everything changed. She dated but it wasn't him. Their friendship was torn at the seams. She disliked his friends and he loathed her lover, Potter. God, how he hated the taste of that word in his mouth, "lover". It burned on his tongue and choked out of his lips. How could she date the man that ruined his life? They were supposed to be best friends, if not more. They argued and he spat the word in her face.
"Mudblood"
The look on her face was all he needed to know he went too far. With a sharp turn, she walked away. His angry tears slipped silently that night.
Invitations were sent out, far and wide. Everyone invited to the wedding. She would marry Potter. They invited him but would he go? Who would stand Severus at their wedding? The months passed by quickly and before he knew it, the day was upon him. His best friend, love of his life, was going to marry his enemy. No longer would she look at him and smile. Her smiles were reserved for her husband. He swore he wouldn't go but he found himself in his worn faded robes, walking up the cathedral steps. He pushed open the wooden door. Her saw her at the top of the stairs, but she never saw him. Her hair adorned with a veil, her eyes rimmed with tears. A single lily clasped in her hands. She mouthed out 'I do'. The church clapped and roared as the new couple shared a chaste kiss. No noticed the man in the back, hidden within the shadows. With one last look, he turned and walked away.
