A/N: Okay. The other story was just a test run. I kinda don't like it anyway. So I'm starting a new fanfiction. So, don't hate me. Please.

The One Fight I Can't Lose

"Yes, Zelda, you look very beautiful in that dress." Link said sarcastically, following the princess out of the castle and into the garden. "Just like every other dress you own."

The brunette giggled and turned to Link. "Oh shut up, you know I look pretty." The hero rolled his eyes. He sat down on a bench and motioned for the princess to sit. "Marth's coming. And apparently, he's not coming alone." She raised an accusing eyebrow at the blonde.

Link chuckled. "Yeah, sorry, I kind of invited an old friend of mine." He brushed a few strands of hair from her face. "You don't mind, do you?"

Zelda shook her head. "Not entirely." Link looked at her. "Okay fine, I do mind. It's going to end up like last time you brought friends over." She pouted, resting her head on Link's shoulder. "Remember?"

Link placed a hand on her shoulder. "You mean that time Malon came over and I hardly talked to you and you felt third-wheel-ish?" Zelda nodded. The hero chuckled. "And you thought I liked her. Zelda, I promise it won't happen again."

Zelda smiled, "Promise?"

The door opened suddenly behind them. "Promise what?" The two Hylians turned around to see a feminine-looking prince. He smiled at them and approached. He bowed slightly, still smiling. "Sorry I came unannounced. Did I interrupt anything?" He said with a mischievous tone.

The Hylians chuckled and stood up to face the Altean. Link's arm was still around Zelda's shoulders. "You didn't interrupt anything, unfortunately." They chuckled.

"How was the trip, Mart?" Zelda piped in, giving a quick glare at Link.

"Eh, it was okay, excluding the fact Ike kept on singing." The three chuckled. "Trust me, he does not have that talent."

The three friends continued talking for a while until a loud shout reached their ears. Mart turned around and went inside, sighing. Zelda and Link looked at each other then shrugged. They followed Marth down the hall. Marth turned at a corner and stopped. Zelda and Link stopped right behind him, staring at a dark blue haired man being attacked by a flock of cuckoos.

"Really, Ike, didn't we already talk about this last time you attacked a cuckoo." Link scolded the man, shooing the cuckoos away. "Cuckoos are more terrifying than chickens."

"Sorry, man, I'm just so used to it." Ike said, standing up. He looked at Zelda. "Oh so this is your girlfriend, huh?" Link blushed and glared at the general. "Hey, I'm Ike. I don't believe we met."

Zelda raised an eyebrow at the man greeting her. "Please to meet… you." She said uncertainly at the just-attacked-by-a-flock-of-cuckoos man. "Have the maids brought you to your room?" She asked, regaining her posture. Ike nodded in reply to her question.

Marth chuckled. "I didn't see my room yet." Zelda pouted at him. "What? I was hoping to interrupt something."

"Didn't we just go over this?" Link muttered. "Anyway, come on. You're not in the usual room anymore. You've been 'promoted'." He said, doing quoting marks on promoted. Zelda giggled at this. Link exited the hallway after kissing her cheek with Marth following behind him.

Ike bid the princess goodbye and went to the kitchen, probably looking for some fried chicken or cuckoos to eat. Zelda sighed and went back to the garden, feeling paranoid. She felt like someone was following her. She sat down at the stone bench and shivered as a cold breeze flew against her. She muttered some words and waited until the sun went down completely.

---

Link was awaken the next day by a frightened maid. She looks disturbed, Link thought, sitting up on his bed. "Sir, i-it's about Her Highness." Link looked up at the maid immediately, "She's missing. We came to her room just a few minutes ago and she wasn't there! Oh Sir, please, do something!" The maid went frantic and retreated, leaving the hero alone.

"Zelda's… Been kidnapped… Again?" Link mumbled, running his fingers through his silky blonde hair. He shook his head and jumped out of bed, quickly throwing on a clean tunic. He ran out the door and woke Marth up. "Zelda's gone again." He said quickly, earning a concerned look from the prince.

"Well, what are we supposed to do?" Marth said groggily, standing up to put on a tunic of his own. "Have you checked her room? There's probably some kind of 'Give me this or she dies…' note somewhere." Link sighed.

"Setting a foot in that room would make me a pervert but you're right. We should look around for clues first." He sighed and looked out the window. "But it can't be in her room. My room's right next to hers. If she was kidnapped, I would've heard her." He looked down and looked at the garden. "The garden!" He exclaimed. Marth stood beside him, looking down. "Marth, look closely." Link said, looking straight at the garden.

Marth did as he was told and gasped. "Wow, Link! Flowerbeds!" He said sarcastically. Link slapped the back of his head and told him to focus. Marth mumbled something and looked. This time, he really exclaimed. "The Wise Princess shall be taken once the moon has risen." He read. The flowerbeds were arranged in a way to create a sentence. "Guess who!" He finished the sentence. He raised an eyebrow at Link. "'Guess who'? Link, who do you think it is?" He asked the blonde, yawning.

"Ganondorf's still in the Sacred Realm. And there's only one person who would be patient enough to rearrange flowerbeds is Dark." Marth looked up at him. "Dark Link. He's the crazy bastard. Remember?" Marth nodded.

Ike came running in, startling the other men. "I've heard about Zelda. I found a note on Link's bed when I was looking for you guys." Marth gave a I-told-you-so look to Link. The hero rolled his eyes and took the note from Ike.

"Dear Linky,

If you hadn't noticed, which I hardly doubt since those maids of Zelda's are so frantic, I kidnapped your girlfriend. If you want to see your 'precious' princess back, you know where to find me.

Your brother." Link blinked at what Dark called himself. "My brother? And he sounds so gay."

Ike raised his hand. "I second the gay part." He said, receiving a chuckle from the prince. "We'll have to disguise ourselves. We don't want anyone to recognize us." He said. Marth nodded. "Honestly, it would really great if Marth was disguised as a girl." He continued suddenly, receiving a death glare from the prince.

"Ike!" He whined. "Link!" He turned to the blonde hero, who was grinning like a mad man. "Guys?" He said in a quiet tone before he was taken away from his room via dragging. Ike carried the now unconscious prince into a carriage. Link took the reigns as Ike stepped in and off they went to the royal seamstress. Link led the horses down to the end of the village. Two horses were pulling the carriage as the trio went across the village. After the unbelievably quiet ride, Link stopped in front of a small house at the end of the road. He opened the carriage door to see an awkward sight.

"Ike," Link started, staring at the disturbed mercenary. "why on earth is Marth hugging you like a life-sized teddy bear?" He snickered a bit, earning a glare from the mercenary. "Come on, bring him in, we're here." He said, helping the mercenary carry the prince. He helped the mercenary place the prince on his back. It was a funny sight, a feminine looking boy on a manly boy. Link turned around to knock on the door. "Mistress Lonlo!" He called.

The door opened immediately, revealing a young red-haired girl. She was around Link and Ike and Marth's age. "Link! It's so good to see you again. What do you need from Mistress Tolrose today?" She said, leading the boys inside.

Ike snickered. "Well, uh, we need some girl clothes and armor for our friend here." He said, motioning to the prince on his back. Malon nodded.

"Mistress Tolrose!" She called, followed by a woman in her early twenties entering the room.

She smiled at the boys. "Ah, Sir Link." She nodded. "What misery have you brought upon this young fellow?" She asked, smiling up at the two young men and motioning to the unconscious Marth.

"All but a calm morning to wake up to, Mistress." Everyone in the room chuckled. "Could you give him a make-over? He needs to look like a girl for our trip." He said, growing uncertain at the end of the sentence.

The lady nodded and motioned Ike to set Marth down on a chair. Mistress Tolrose took out a measuring tape and started measuring the prince, making comments on how feminine he was. She ordered Link and Ike to carry the unconscious prince to a daybed where he could rest. Mistress Tolrose started working on some clothes for the boy. After a few hours, the clothes were finished. Everyone helped in putting on the prince's clothes. After the make over, Link volunteered to wake up the prince. Originally, he was going to smash a bottle over his head but they all knew that was going too far. Instead he slapped the prince a few times.

"Hey, Martha. Wake up." Ike said, poking Marth on the cheek. Slowly, he started to wake up.

"Hnngh?" He mumbled, fluttering his eyes open.

"Geez, he even wakes up like a girl." Malon commented, looking at the teal-haired boy.

"Hey Marth, we got you in on a makeover." Link said and pulled Marth up to a mirror. The teal haired boy was silent for a moment. He was wearing a light blue capelet the covered his whole upper body. He moved his hand to open it and observe his other clothing. He was wearing a tunic with a darker shade of blue that ended on his mid-thighs. He also wore his same blue tights and same boots. He was also wearing a brown belt, a brown chest plate-thing like Ike's and the last, a white bandana on his head. Overall, he looked like boy-girl Lolita. "How do you like it?" The blonde asked.

"Honestly, it's not that bad." The prince replied, flipping his hair a little. He acts like a girl it's not even funny.

So they let Marth have a rest and pick out some more clothes out of Malon's old closet. Link and Ike went to Mistress Tolrose to get a makeover of their own. After a few hours, they were all at the table, having a peaceful dinner before the misery that was come to come in a few minutes.

"Malon, do us a favor and send letters to Crimea and Altea saying Marth and Ike would be gone for awhile." Mistress Tolrose said, "You are of the Royal's apprentice. You are allowed to do so." Malon nodded and excused herself out of the room. Mistress Tolrose looked at them again. "May your respective Goddesses bless you." She said, dismissing the boys.

They were on the road, not looking back. Looking for Zelda was nothing new to them, but hey, an adventure is still an adventure. Dark was not an idiot, he knew Link would look for him in Hyrule. But where he went? Who knows?

Link pulled up the scarf to cover half of his face. He was wearing a faded green tunic, nothing too fancy. He wore a worn out belt and his old boots. The blonde ditched the hat and let his hair looking as unruly as ever. He didn't lose the hat entirely, he just brought it with him for good luck.

Ike was wearing his red and black tunic and a hooded cape so that he could cover his head with something against the cold. He had on a dirty white tights and finally some tattered leather boots.

"Should we get help from our old comrades?" Marth suddenly suggested, remembering everyone they had met during their summer at Nintendo. They were all given gadgets after the many tournaments so they could contact Master Hand if they needed any help. "Maybe we could get Snake or someone to monitor Dark undercover and I know how Dark gets stronger all the time and…"

"We could use the back up." Ike agreed, catching on with the Prince's plans. Link kept silent. The two blue-haired boys looked at each then made their horses go a little faster. They looked at Link sideways and saw him staring at nothing in particular.

"Do you think it's my fault she's always getting kidnapped? I leave her for a few seconds and se disappears. " He muttered, stroking Epona's neck. "Maybe…"

Marth rolled his eyes. "Geez Link, we're out of town to start a journey and you suddenly go emo on us? What are you, a mood shifter?"

Ike shook his head. "Leave the kid alone, Marth." He looked back at the young hero. "Just drop it and help us plan our attack on Dark."

"Way to be supportive Ike."

"Get a life Princess."

"Wannabe."

"Bitch."

"SHUT UP." Link sighed, glaring at the two boys. He shook his head and quickly changed the subject. "You think Mario could help us?" He said in a calm voice.

Marth shrugged. "He would help. He still owes us for helping him that one time."

Ike stared at the prince. "You mean the time we saved him from both cuckoos and chickens?"

"OH! That time. Yeah." Link chuckled.

So how'd you like it? I really need your opinion and I really need it so I could edit anything like grammars. D:
