"This is much more fun though, love." Killian was lounging on the cot in the jail cell while Emma typed away on the computer and did paperwork.
"As Deputy, you're supposed to be helping me." She reminded him. And tried to not peek at the sliver of bare skin that appeared as his arms lifted to prop his head up.
She failed.
"I am helping. We need to see what flaws are in here, seeing as I've heard a couple people have ah, escaped." He chuckled at her scowl.
"People kept slipping the prisoners the keys." She defended. "Besides, that's already fixed."
"How?"
"I got rid of all the copies. Known copies." Emma amended reluctantly. She was pretty sure Regina had another one somewhere. "There's only one now, plus one of the fairies did some spell and now it can't be unlocked by magic."
"Very smart." Killian sucked in a breath. "Er, did you say there's only one key?"
"Yes, this one." She searched the pocket and was surprised to feel the lack of cold metal. "In the other pocket then..." She murmured to herself.
Nope wasn't there.
"You took it," Emma realized, that was how he locked himself in in the first place.
"I did." He scratched behind his ear awkwardly. "But I've seemed to have misplaced it."
"What do you mean misplaced it? It could only be in the jail cell." Emma hurriedly walked over and shook the door, only to find it was unlocked. She tumbled in and in a flash, he had shut the door and locked it with the key hidden in his boot.
She watched in open mouthed horror as he neatly tossed the key onto the Sheriff's desk.
"You were too far over there." He shrugged. "And I was bored
"How are we supposed to get out?" Emma glared.
"I've told Henry to unlock us in two hours."
"What are we going to do in here for two whole hours?" She slumped against the bars, then froze at Killian's smirk.
