Another Father's Day was near, it felt so weird, so sad to not to celebrate it with your own dad. Years have passed since the day he was ripped from his family, he is truly missed.
Lana knows how hard it is to spend this day without him, to celebrate this day with her husband but to not to have her hero.
Every single girl loves their father, our parents are our superheroes, our kings. And we are always their little princesses.
Today is the day, Father's Day without dad. They always look at the sky, whispering a happy father's day to their hero.
But this day feels different, that's what Lana felt. Today she felt like something important was going to happen.
The day passed without any problems, Fred opening gifts, chatting with the boys, with her...
But when she went to bed, and fell asleep, the dream land showed her something she didn't expect.
It showed her to her father.
"Papi?" She whispered, afraid that is she spoke louder he would disappear
"My little girl" Sam said stepping closer to her "I've missed you"
"How is this possible? This can't be happening" she said, tears streaming down her face "This is a cruel joke"
"It's not, I wanted to speak to you" he said hugging her and while he caressed her hair he kept talking "I'm so proud of your sister and you"
"Really?" Lana said sounding like a small child, in some ways she felt one
"You have fought so hard to achieve your goals, you are a great woman, an amazing actress" He kept soothing her like he used to do when she was just a little girl "You are close to your mom, your sister, I'm so happy for you"
"I still miss you, every day" she said finally looking at him.
"I know, but each time you miss me you just have to look at the sky, I'm one of those stars looking out for you" He said caressing her cheek "It's my job as your father to always take care of you and nothing is going to forbade me to do just that, take care of your sister and you"
"I love you papi" Lana said hugging him knowing she didn't had much time left with him.
"I love you too, so much" he said smiling "And tell your sister the same, I hear both of you wishing me a happy father's day every single year"
"We will always do the same, it's tradition" she said smiling
"I have to go now honey, but always remember: I'm your star illuminating the darkest night"
"You are our angel dad" Lana said hugging her father one last time "Happy father's day"
"Thank you mija, tell Deena that I love her too, so much" He said before everything went dark and her eyes started to open.
Slowly she got up from bed and walked to the window, looking up at the sky she swore that one star shined brighter than the others.
Her dad was definitely watching over them, and he was proud of her.
A/N; I wrote this with all of my love and respect, please be kind... I lost my dad in an awful way so I can relate with Lana, I'm not trying to disrespect her or her family.
Love, Noemi.
