Dread

Half an Inch

"You're going to die anyways, Rider." Rothman purred as she trailed a finger down bruised and bloody flesh, her thumb coming to a stop at Alex's cracked lips. Her manicured nail pushed down suddenly and broke the fragile skin, causing a bead of blood to appear. "The how remains entirely up to you. I would enjoy listening to your screams as you slowly bleed out to death or you tell me the location and I'll make it quick. Won't be as fun but... I'm not picky."

Alex bared his teeth, blood glistening in the meager light as he hissed out his answer. "The day hell freezes over is the day I'll reveal anything to you."

Rothman chuckled. "Looks like you do care about my preferences after all. This is going to be splendid." She gestured behind her to someone that Alex couldn't see.

"Have fun," Julia whispered in his ear, her warm breath parting his hair. Dread filled his stomach as Alex took in the muscular man in front of him. Rothman ruffled his hair mockingly as she left the cell.

"Don't kill him," she said as she closed the door behind her.
