23 years... Kakarott hung his head, the only thing he was allowed to move but his junk. For 23 years, no one could stop him. The destruction on the human race was eminent. It was his own pride that allowed them to survive as long as they had. He cracked a smile and a low chuckle echoed through his prison cell. Foolish humans. Foolish and naïve. They should have killed him. This is a mistake that they will soon regret.

Goku looked up as he heard the door's lock unlatch. Visitors were not common, unless... was it that time of day already? Everyday around a certain hour, Detective Briefs would waltz in Kakarott's cell like she owned him, only to question him like he had normal morals or something. This was also Kakarott's fault, he had been using her for some time before she betrayed him and brought him in. He supposed that part of her still loved him. Kakarott stifled a laugh at the thought. His love wouldn't be wasted on any piece of human filth.

"Good afternoon, Goku." Briefs said, taking off her gloves. Kakarott snarled at the false name that she gave him. Again, his fault. The list of his folly went on and on.

"Good afternoon, babycakes." Kakarott said coldly. "Have you decided to let me go yet?"

"Not until you admit that you feel bad for all those innocent people you slaughtered." Briefs stared at him coldly, her ice blue eyes trying to find some sort of emotion besides evil in the Saiyan's onyx ones.

"Now, now. That would be lying." Kakarott said, cracking a smile, at least until he felt Briefs' fist crack across his jaw.

"Fine then, choose the hard way." Briefs cracked her knuckles, pretending that hitting Kakarott didn't hurt her one bit.

"You've gotten stronger, I'm impressed." Kakarott laughed without humor. "Too bad I have to kill you now."

"Kill me? You're joking. You're wrapped up in every way possible, how do you expect to kill me?" Kakarott stared at her for a second.

"Fine, you win. I feel terrible for killing those people." Briefs was shocked to hear those words, and they sounded sincere.

"There isn't a second that goes by without me mourning their deaths." Kakarott forced tears to roll down his cheeks. "And most of all, I miss you, Bulma. There isn't one thing that I wouldn't give to hold you in my arms again..."

Briefs was crying, emotions had taken her over. She quickly ran up to Kakarott and touched his cheek lovingly,

"Truly, Kakarott?" She said, her voice trembling.

"Please, call me Goku." He said, looking into her eyes. She leaned forward and softly placed her lips upon his, unlocking the device that held him by the neck.

Bulma Briefs, lost in her passion, had made a grave mistake. Not just for her, but for the entire human race, as they knew it.
