Dean sat in the lodge drinking a warm coffee. Sam had already gone up to bed, so Dean sat there, waiting for Cas to come back with the supplies they needed. He took a sip of coffee and sat back in the chair.
"Dean," Cas said from beside him.
Dean sat up startled, spilling hot coffee on his shirt. He pull the clinging shirt from his chest and shook it, trying his hardest to get cold air to his burning chest.
"Here," Cas said touching Dean's chest. The coffee and the heat disappeared.
Dean looked up at Cas and gave a half smile as his thanks.
"Do you have the stuff?" Dean asked.
"Of course," Cas said, "I have a favor to ask."
"Sure, anything."
Cas opened his mouth to start talking, then stopped.
"Cas what is it?" Dean said becoming more concerned.
"I…I've never seen snow," Cas said, "and since it's snowing outside…"
"We can go see the snow Cas," Dean said laughing, "Come on," Dean said hitting Cas' side and standing up.
They went outside, and Dean brought his arms closer into his chest to try to keep warm. Cas on the other hand, had a look of awe on his face. He walked forward slowly and placed his hand out, catching the snow and watched it turn into liquid. He smiled as he watched it change from tiny round cotton balls to rain drops in his hands. He looked up at the sky seeing all the snowflakes coming down, swaying in the wind and landing on his face. He opened his mouth and stuck out his tongue, hoping that the same sensation would happen that had happened on his hand. The snowflakes hit his tongue and with a jump of excitement he turned to Dean his tongue still sticking out and pointed to it.
Dean chuckled and found himself wanting to join Cas. He walked forward, his arms still tightly bound around his chest and looked up, opening his mouth to try and catch the snowflakes.
Cas was running around now, jumping up and biting down into the air, trying to catch more and more snowflakes. He loved how each snowflake melted quickly and as fast as it had made his tongue cold, it had disappeared.
Dean was loosening up more and more, he followed Cas and jumped up, his laughs growing louder and louder.
He stopped and watched Cas. Cas looked happier then he had ever looked, and Dean felt the same. He didn't want it to end. He walked up to Cas who was facing the other way, standing still, but still trying to catch snowflakes. Dean grabbed his arm, turned him around and pressed his lips hard against Cas'. Cas tensed up, his eyes wide open in surprise, then he relaxed, closed his eyes and his hands found their way to Dean's back.
Dean warped his arms around Cas, pulling him in, and Cas did the same. Their mouths moved together, and Dean could feel the icy chill of the snow on Cas' mouth. He let his kisses warm up Cas' lips.
They stayed like that, lips locked, until it became too cold for Dean.
