Remember when the world was round?
When the stars were something to astound?
When the thought of freedom brought us joy?
When our lives weren't some villains toy?
Remember that we used to laugh?
That the people stood on our behalf?
That choices were lined in clearer rows?
That we used to be the heroes?
Remember those times when we stood tall?
Those days we took each other's fall?
Those moments we spent in happy glee?
Those little seconds that we were free?
Look around, and watch them tumble.
Look at them! How they crumble !
Our dreams and hopes,
Our ties and ropes,
Our reaches and strives,
Our very lives…
Will you remember me as a friend?
And not as some fiend you had to end?
Will you remember all those happy days?
Will you cry to watch them go?
Will you bury me with honors and rights?
Or burn me with all the monster that you fight?
Will you look on my grave with a sorrowed gaze?
Will you let my loved ones know?
Will you stop this war and take my hand?
But no, it's too late; too late to land.
Will you close your eyes if I bear you down?
Will I stay my hand and halt my blow?
So much has changed,
Our allies estranged,
Families broken, right in two,
So many a lies told; what now is true?
So now we part and clash to fight,
For what we both believe is right.
Civil war has started, with a mighty shout,
And now, I fear, there's no way out.
A/N: This can apply to pretty much anyone in Civil War. I hate myself right now. MAY 6. Y U NO COME FASTER?!
