Title supposedly means 'sea rise' in Greek, but you can never be sure with online translators (no, I didn't use Google Translate; I know how horrible that one is xD).

Crack pairing: Greece/Liechtenstein. I ship Liechtenstein with many characters… xD

Θάλασσα άνοδος

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" He thinks deeply about the words that've left her pale, amaranth lips, the whimsical tune finding it's way to his ever-listening ears. Many things pop up into his mind––the silky voice of his late mother, telling him the exciting fantasy-set stories of the ancient past of the country he reigned from; the soothing, peaceful times he spent with his Japanese friends, relaxing silently amongst the hundreds of cats that followed him to the hilltop that overlooked the city they lived in; the lovely, appealing sound of her fingers sliding gracefully across the ivory white keys of the grand ebony piano held up on the stage in the cafeteria.

He doesn't dare say a word, for he still ponders on what she means––so many things are beautiful, and yet she decides to come up and make such a statement to his unsuspecting self.

He glances over at her, taking in her forevermore gorgeous appearance––straight-cut short blond hair, framing the edges of her face; her ivory skin, contrasting wonderfully with her bright, intoxicating jungle green irises; her short, thin, undoubtedly feminine (in his constantly aware eyes), petite body stature; her voice that sounded like the ringing bells or the carols of angels from heaven above, bringing light and energy into his rather dull, below average life; her overall tranquil and serene personality, taking it with her everywhere she went.

Her line of sight flickers over him for just a millisecond, before casting their gaze on the view before them––rows and rows of narrow streets, teeming with strolling shoppers and tall buildings and speeding cars, the spacious meadows cast to the sides and the somber gravestones embedded into the sorrowful grounds of the graveyards, fenced in by a gothic black gate and tall, dark fir trees. The cool shade protects them from the onslaught of the sweltering heat of the shining sun, thin and short cotton clothes giving their body the little protection needed for such a summer day.

In the distance, his emerald eyes scan the glistening surface of the nearby sea, in an attempt to think more of an answer for the small, German girl. The lapis waves lap at the golden sands hungrily, like stray dogs to a butcher throwing out aged pork. He's instantly reminded of her––her eyes––yet the colors are of two completely different shades, and he turns back to her, a small smile present on his normally still face.

"Yes…it is…" He looks her up and down and allows the smile to grow just a bit, a contented sigh leaving his lungs as he scooted over closer to her, his large, calloused hand meeting her tiny, soft hand. "…At least, I think so…"

Reviews are appreciated. :3 Apologies for this being so short and vague…I was kinda just trying this out.
