Blair loved Chuck. She always had, but never really admitted it to herself until it was too late.

"Chuck...Please don't leave me," whispered Blair, a single tear running down her cheek as she gazed at the love of her life, Chuck Bass. He had been in a coma for the last week, showing no signs of waking up.

Just then a nurse walked into the room carrying a clipboard.

"Blair... I'm afraid we have bad news," said the nurse. "You...you lost the baby."

Blair felt her body go numb. This couldn't be happening to her. She was finally supposed to have her happy ending, but instead this?

"Serena..." choked Blair. "I need Serena."

"I'll have her called. The doctor will be in to check in with you in a while," replied the nurse, quickly leaving the room.

Blair looked at Chuck, tears running down her fragile face.

"Why is this happening, Chuck? I love you so much, but I waited too long. And now, this," Blair finished when she saw Serena at the door.

"Oh, Blair," said Serena, rushing to wrap her arms around her best friend.

"Th-they said...I...I lost the baby, S," Blair buried her head in Serena's shoulder. Serena said nothing, tears running down her face as well.

It was ten minutes later when Blair finally calmed down enough to get full words out.

"S... it hurts so much. And if Chuck... if he...I don't know how I'd live."

With that Blair dissolved into tears again.

"The worst part is... for a second I thought that I would finally have my happy ending, me and Ch- chuck would be t- together but..." Serena could see that her friend was hurting so badly, and it hurt Serena more that she couldn't do anything.

"Oh baby... I know it hurts...I know it hurts so much, but you have to stay strong. You have to believe, because I know, and you should too, that someday you and Chuck are going to have a house and a family, and you will be happy. I will always be here for you too, and I will always believe, even when you don't," finished Serena, her arms still around Blair. Blair finally stopped crying, but all it took was one look at chucks immobile body for her to dissolve into tears again.

The days passed pretty much the same. Chuck showed no signs of improvement, Blair cried almost all day every day and visitors came and went. Serena spent all the time she could next to Blair, just being there for her.

Two weeks later, Chuck was still no where near waking. Blair was slowly becoming numb to the world and all Serena could do was watch helplessly.
