A/N
Recently got round to seeing On Stranger Tides, and while not a bad film IMO, does stand as my least favourite of the four (list being 1-4 in regards to favourites actually. Still, credit where credit is due, and its portrayal of mermaids definately warrants it IMO.
Drowned
We're calling, we're singing to you jolly swabbies,
We mean you no harm, it is but a hobby.
Come closer, we need you, your lips we must meet,
Then let loose your screams, your terror so sweet.
...
In a dance of death, we take you below,
Down to the place where your sun does not show.
Don't struggle, don't squirm, don't offer us strife,
Just accept you're nearing the end of your life.
...
And yet you still struggle, our words you'll not heed,
You only stop squirming when bound with seaweed.
Into your lungs seawater doth flood,
Water that's fated to be awash with your blood.
...
And thus you realize, you are truly doomed,
Fated to perish in seawater's gloom.
Weep not my love, please stop your crying,
Do as we wish, and we'll speed up your dying.
