As Time Goes By~ Never Forget Me
Interlude: hello everyone, this is one of two one shots I made for wild arms 4, each titled same as its theme songs. Both of them will be posted and can be read separately. Two things to kept in mind, I'm using the English translation title and English is my second language. Tell me if I'm making any grammatical errors. Last, all of us know that I don't own Wild Arms 4. It belongs to its developers and creators. Sigh

Arnaud G. Vasquez sighing while softly led his daughter to walk. His beloved daughter, now 9 years old and very smart, begging him to accompany her to her mother's tomb. He just cannot say no.
Arnaud looked up to the sky where the clouds marching to the west as the wind blows. His mind drifted as he again, back to his wife, partner, and companions. To that scene when he told them about her… he felt like all of them happened so long ago. He's just at early thirty, but all of them make him feel so old.
The images faded. Her daughter tugging on his feet probably confused why her father stood like a statue. Arnaud has grown. He's still carefree, but more matured at the same time.
The grave was near. He couldn't afford to leave her body there, at the last ruins where she finally ends her journey; so he then bought a diner at the nearby town along with the garden behind. He decided it's his time to settle down and lived a normal life away from adventures for quite some time. The grave's located in the middle of the garden, surrounded by flowers between shady trees.
Finally, they arrived. It's still the same as usual, considering he tends for it everyday, but strange enough the weather today is so bright and clear; one you rarely find in that town. His daughter ran as fast as her little feet can bring her then knelt before Raquel's gravestone. She prayed quietly.
He smiled. Her daughter is grown more and more to her mother's figure everyday. How she laughed, smiled, even the seriousness and cold stare, but more enthusiastic because of her young energy. Above all, her sword mastery considered to be impossible to her age. Arnaud never tried to make her the copy of Raquel. Never. He understands that every things gone never really gone. He has long allowed Raquel to rest. Her body might be turned to ashes, but her spirit remains and lived in their heart forever.
More memories came back and forth. All kinds of it. The happy one, the sad one, the painful one. He never could forget them all. Their journey together also with those two younger buds. The twilight now hung in the sky. He asked to walked back home followed with an obedient nod by his daughter.
As they walked back, they could feel warmer weather and he could hear soft voices along with the blowing wind. "As time goes by~ never forget me." Accompanied with a warm hug. Although nothing except both of them was there, Arnaud knew. She always watched them all. "I will. No matter how much time passed, I will never forgets you." His daughter also felt the same warm hug. The little girl looked around to find nothing. But she also understands.
She looked up to the sky.
It smiled at them
A/N: I made this quite a long time ago but too lazy to type it. Say, truly from your heart what do you feel? I accept reviews, including flames. Don't worry. I'll check for it regularly even this is a one-shot. I just write one shots cuz I hate those who made great fics then suddenly left them at eternal cliffhanger; If you who I mentioned above ever read this, I hope you'll do what you need to do.
With love,
Moonlight melody
