You stumble into your house after a long day at work and immediately notice how calm it is. The stress you're under has obviously taken a toll on your health; for the past few weeks, you've been tired, moody and on the verge of tears most of the time.

A long sigh escapes your mouth as your eyes start to close. You shake yourself to stay awake and quickly make your way to the kitchen. Another sigh rolls off you when you see the big pile of dirty dishes laying on the counter. You sluggishly walk over to the counter and throw your hands in the sink, splashing water everywhere.

As you're scrubbing a plate, you feel two hands gripping tightly on your waist, and sweet kisses filling your neck.

"I've missed you." Carlos whispers in your ear as he slowly and gently twirls you around to face his glowing smile.

You grumble at him; getting intimate with your boyfriend was the last thing you wanted to do right now. You just wanted to go to bed.

As if Carlos read your mind, a puppy-like frown pops on his face.

"Carlos, I love you, but I'm really tired." You look down at your old sneakers and start to bite your lower lip, hoping you didn't offend him.

Despite the fact that he's still frowning, he doesn't say anything. Instead, he reaches for your hand and gently pulls you upstairs to your shared bedroom.

His frown has suddenly turned into a sincere smile as he places you on the bed and wraps the blankets on top of you.

Your eyelids start to close, but quickly open again when you feel a warm hand on your hips.

You turn around and realize you're inches away from the latino and his shimmering brown eyes. He pulls you into a deep but gentle kiss, placing his hands on your neck, making you feel his warmth.

When you both smoothly finish the kiss, he snuggles closer to you, letting your head rest on his chest.

You lay there in complete silence for a couple minutes. The only noise you can hear is his heart beating calmly.

"I love you." He finally whispers as your eyelids start to close.

"I love you." You manage to escape the words before you fall into a deep sleep, letting all the stress wash away.
