Jason paced the empty hall of the infirmary, stress so deeply etched onto his features he was sure the lines would stay forever. Nico Di Angelo was in the infirmary after he had found him bleeding out on the bathroom floor with a scarlet laced razor lying on the cold floor next to him. Jason had panicked, swooping the boy into his arms and racing to the infirmary. So many people had stared, watching as Jason raced across camp with his tears staining the floor behind him. He couldn't handle this- what Nico did. He was stitched up in seconds, and blood was now being pumped into his body, but Dionysus had solemnly told him Nico may not make.

How could this happen!? Why hadn't he noticed!? He fell to the ground, sobbing. Groaning, he stood up again, refusing to give up, and stumbled into the room Nico was staying in. He sat for hours, before finally falling into a dreamless sleep. He slept peacefully, painlessly.

A loud, high-pitched screeching noise ripped Jason from the restful sleep he had so enjoyed for that small amount of time, and he looked up to see the heart monitor next to Nico's side with a single, red line stretching across it. He stiffened, his hand shaking as he slowly reached for Nico's icy fingers.

Nico... Goddamnit Nico! Really? What the hell makes you think this was fucking okay!? You're gone, Nico! You can't do shit about anything anymore- why the hell did you have to take the damn easy way? It wasn't fucking worth it! It wasn't... Jason trailed off to silence, sobbing ruefully as he grasped Nico's hand in his own. Why did you have to leave me here alone...? He mumbled through the tears, crawling onto the bed and wrapping his arms around Nico's stiff body.

I love you so, so much Di Angelo. He whispered, rolling over slightly to grab a bottle of nectar. He brushed Nico's hair from his eyes before he took the first drink. He tilted his head back, the golden liquid sloshing down his throat as he cuddled into Nico's side as he burned away. He kissed Nico's cheek as his vision faded, and he left this world to enter Nico's.

Hey, Jason? Is Nico... Percy walked in, smiling carefully until he saw the sight before him. His face fell, the machine still screaming. He carefully, carefully walked over to Nico and Jason, ruffling Jason's hair. He frowned at the result, and quickly fixed it in vain. His eyes filled with tears suddenly, despite the smile glued to his face. H-Hey guys, I heard about what happened to you, Nico... You look pretty calm and relaxed now though, right? Jason...I can't believe you ran across camp with Nico in your arms. I don't understand why he couldn't have told us, y'know? Then maybe, you both c-could have, have... He broke down, slamming the machine that was laughing in his face, reminding him every second of what had happened.

He slammed his hands across the shelf, throwing everything to the floor. He grabbed everything that hadn't broken, which wasn't much. He looked at the remnants, and found four bottles of sleeping, pain, one for swelling, and something in English he couldn't read. He squeezed the bottle angrily, nearly crushing the plastic. He uncapped all four, forcing them all down his throat.

He looked over to where Jason and Nico lie next to each other. He stood up groggily, taking Jason's lead and curling into Nico's side. He shut his eyes, gripping Nico's arm tighter as the pills kicked in and made him sick. He held it in, relieved as he lost consciousness. Whether it be the pain or the sleeping pills, he didn't care. Because at that moment, he had finally joined them.

He, Jason, and Nico could be happy together- forever.
