Remus looked in the mirror at his robes. The Yule ball was in an hour, and he couldn't afford to buy brand new robes. The robes he got were pretty in pretty good condition, but they looked like they came from the 50's.

"What am I gonna do? Everyone's gonna laugh at me." Suddenly, the dorm room slammed open, and his friends stepped in. He didn't want to see the looks of pity and disappointment in their eyes, so he didn't look up.

"Am I really that hideous?" James asked. Remus looked up to disprove James, but what he saw made his jaw drop.

Peter looked like a slightly cubby Fred Astaire. He was clad in a top hat, tailcoats, and shoes so shiny that James was admiring his new looks in them. Peter was using them as a mirror to fix his hair and adjust his manacle.

James was wearing his six times great grandfather's robes with pink and purple butterflies embroidering it. It was accompanied with a musty, black wig, four inch high heeled shoes, and he was trying to draw a beauty mark on his cheek with an eye shadow pencil.

He couldn't help but gape at Sirius. Sirius was wearing a floor-length, shimmering dark blue gown with a neckline dip to his belly button showing off the black bra he was wearing along with all of his chest hair. The side of the dress had a thigh spilt that left nothing to the imagination and showed off his long, hairy legs. He was wearing nine inch stilettos, and topped the outfit off with an eye watering pink eight foot feather boa.

"Like what you see?" Sirius asked. Remus closed his mouth and blushed a bright red. He couldn't take his eyes off of the way the dress hugged Sirius's butt.

Sirius dangled a set of keys in front of Remus's eyes. "These are for my motorbike; you'll be taking me as soon as I get my curls finished."

Remus couldn't help but smile at his friends. They all emphasized the 1950's elements that Remus was trying to downplay. He really did have the best of friends.

*Later at the Yule ball*

McGonagall stared at the four marauders, two of which entered on a motorbike. She couldn't help but stare at Sirius. 'I wish I still had curves like that.'
