Orders, Lieutenant

Colonel Roy Mustang, of Flame Alchemist fame, dreaming of becoming this country's leader (so he could pass that miniskirt law), sat at his desk in Central. Awaiting for the day's duties to arrive, he looked out the window. Sunny, not a cloud in the sky.

"A nice day," he muttered, and smiled. "Been a while since I've seen you, Mr. Sun." He joked. He turned away when he heard a knock on the door. Much to his (not) surprise, was Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye, carrying the same papers as usual, and the gun she used to protect him.

"Here you go, sir," She said, giving Roy the papers he was waiting to sign. He sighed.

"Anything else?" He asked, hoping that somehow this day would be different than the others.

"Nothing, sir."

"You sure?"

"Yes, sir. Nothing else. Just the papers, as usual."

Roy sighed again.

"I didn't join the military to sign a bunch of papers..." He said, ruffling his hand through his hair, but then he looked at Riza, and decided to have a little fun.

"Um, sir?" Riza said, wondering what he was thinking.

"Why did I join the military, Lieutenant?" He asked her, she of all people knew.

"Sir, I don't think that's important-"

"That's an order."

He smirked a playful smirk.

"Because you wanted to be a State Alchemist, knowing that you would become a dog of the military, but also wanting to perform research in your field of... expertise." She explained, a bit confused. Roy stood up, and looked out the window.

"What's my field of expertise?" He asked, though of course he knew the answer. Riza hesitated, and Roy followed with "that's an order." yet again.

"Flame Alchemy," She said, followed by, "And womanizing."

Roy chuckled, and asked yet another question.

"The names of my subordinates?"

"Let me guess, that's an order?" Riza, smiling and playing along, replied. Roy chuckled again.

"You bet it is." He said.

"What else do you need, sir?" She asked, not answering such trivial and unimportant questions.

"Hm... let me think..." Roy replied, and looked out the window yet again. He smirked, and turned around.

"Go on a date with me."

In disbelief, Riza stared at him, a small blush appearing on her cheeks.

"S-Sir-"

Smiling, He put his finger on her lips, and whispered,

"That's an order."
