In a far away time in an ancient land so very fine,

A young prince dreamed of glory and all that's in between the line,

Of reaching the ends of the earth conquering it for all it's worth.

His golden head full of pride with a circle of brave friends by his side,

One of them with Mediterranean eyes caught the prince's heart by surprise,

Swore on their hearts of eternal love like the beautiful myths from above,

Side by side they left home after the prince was crowned the king of Macedon,

A journey to face the unknown in lands so different from their own.

Victory after a battle a win followed by another arising the undefeatable conqueror,

The bond of the two grew stronger for they confided in each other.

Loved by all even the Egyptians that he hadn't fought the only son of God.

Babylon the queen of sin had the king with its beauty spin,

Tempted him by others making him fall in bad shudders,

The blue eyed beauty watched him fall tried to keep him sane, tried his best to call,

But the lion was long stuck in his own ego refusing to let go of his libidos,

Drink after a drink with three marriages on top he kept on stumbling with rage hard to cope.

His lover slipped slowly withering away with endless worry,

So lonely and hurt in a circle of despise so lost smiling with disguise.

The India journey was a stroke for his men fell and broke,

So the dream shattered as he wondered why his lover was so battered,

And they made their way home the general feeling so alone.

Ecbatana was a sad day for the beauty in deaths grips lay,

Sorrow and grief triggered for the only person, who always lingered,

His friend, lover and general was gone he was now left alone,

Regret and pain grew within him as he put his lover in the most beautiful building,

Honored his lover with a great pyre announced as a semi-God was his desire.

He followed his lover like he once promised and so was the fall of the man that was the strongest.

Babylon where it all had begun witnessed the sad setting of the greatest sun.
