The Doctor was alone. He knew it was for the best, after all, Amy and Rory needed to settle down and live their lives together. But still, he was aloud to miss them. Even if he wasn't human. But without Rory and Amy, he was... He was quite bored. The TARDIS was indeed quite lovely, but still, there was no one to talk to, no one to look after, and most importantly, no one to explore all the galaxies that waited out there in the skies.
"Ah well, old girl. I guess it's just you and me. As it always must be." The Doctor sighed quietly and patted the console of the TARDIS absently. With a resigned look on his face, he flipped a few switches and pulled a lever or two until the engines whooshed and he was soaring through time and space. He slowly reached up and removed the fez from his hair and loosened his bow tie.
A sad smile crossed his face and the Doctor tossed the fez onto a chair and let his bow tie hang limply from under his shirt collar. With a long look around the TARDIS, the Doctor sank slowly to the floor, hands covering his face as he sobbed quietly; all alone.
"Rose."
