When Memories are made

He kissed her like he never thought he would. He was slow, deliberate and careful because even though she presented a tough exterior she was really a delicate flower grown in the harshest of winters. His urge to envelop her in the deepest abyss of a kiss was stronger than ever as she smiled there looking at photos that her mother took, quietly trying to work through the most devastating period of her young life. He noted every detail about her, the outline of her profile, the softness of her skin and even the nape of her neck. His love for Amanda consumed him days earlier but at this moment he wanted nothing more than to share this moment with Jessi and be the one she would make new memories with.

As Kyle brushed her hair back, Jessi could feel his gaze penetrating her. It was mesmerizing… not unlike most things that had to do with Kyle. Jessi smiled on his lips as they pressed against hers. She'd been waiting not so patiently for this moment, and even in the most tragic of circumstances she welcomed it as if it were happening on a sunny day during a walk in a park. The way he kissed her made the sun shine at midnight and reignited her dampening flame. She couldn't help but bite his soft lips as they lifted slightly from hers. It was Kyle's turn to smile.

The next morning he wasn't sure how to proceed. He was unsure about himself. He didn't know what to make of the feelings he was feeling. He had spent the majority of his life loving Amanda with his whole heart. He didn't understand how one could make room for two in this scenario with Jessi. He tried to liken himself and the situation to others around him but to no avail. The idea of loving anyone but Amanda confused him greatly and the only person in the house he could talk to was one person who could never know that he kissed Jessi. With nowhere to turn he decided to face the problem (for lack of a better word) head on. He decided to talk to Jessi.

He went into Jessi's room without knocking and caught her staring out the window. She turned to him but said nothing. She looked like a kicked puppy. Kyle had to urge to encircle her like he did the night he found out Sarah didn't leave. Kyle understood that while he always though Amanda needed protecting from the big bads that Jessi needed emotional protecting. He felt immensely guilty for ignoring that need. He walked over to her and lifted her slowly to her feet. He wrapped his arms around her waist as she wrapped hers around his neck. He hugged her in the most intimate of ways, crushing his face into the side of her neck and breathing in deeply. He stroked her from waist to hip and lifted his head to look into her now tearing eyes. He took this opportunity to say sorry. He then looked at her lips with his deep blue eyes and knew that he never wanted to kiss lips as much as he did in that moment. He lifted her from her feet and she wrapped her legs around his pajama clad waist. She was wearing the only piece of intimate looking underwear she owned which made her feel secure. He crashed his lips into hers and felt heat stirring in both of them. Tongues intermingling, he caressed her underneath her garment and Jessi made a sound of pleasure and wanting. He whipped his tongue against her neck and maneuvered so that he could taste her chest. He carried her to the bed where he laid her down and proceeded to kiss her slowly and deeply. She moaned and Kyle could feel nature taking control only to be interrupted by the calls of Nicole and breakfast.
