Glances Mean Nothing
Officer Rick Grimes is testifying at Merle Dixon's trial. He had arrested Merle on drugs and gun charges about a month ago. Merle's extremely rich father hired Michonne to represent him. Rick is on the witness stand. Michonne is brutal in her cross-examination, making Rick look like the incompetent keystone cop. (There was a glance shared. Michonne looked away first), she continued her line of questioning). She had won her case.
Rick waited outside on the courthouse steps, pacing back and forth, ready to give Michonne a piece of his mind. How dare she insinuate that he was a dirty cop. He stepped on his cigarette when he saw her exiting the building. She proceeded to walk right past him. "Hey!". Rick followed her down the stairs, running ahead, in front of her, halting her from proceeding any further. "Hey, you got a lot of nerve lady."
Michonne didn't bother to glance up from her phone. "If your feelings get hurt that easily, then you're definitely in the wrong occupation detective…." Her voice trailed off as she walked out to the street and hailed a cab. Rick stood on the steps with his hand on his hip, shaking his head. He was fully unaware of the smile that was now formed on his face.
