There once was a man with a heart of stone,

Who roamed the earth, ever alone.

For the woman he loved always lay, slain.

Sarificed her life to save the blood in his veins.

Each time she returned with a will much stronger,

Full of determination to live just a bit longer.

All her attempts were always inept,

And her promise to live was always unkept.

Each time she passed it hurt him more and more,

Until the heart on his sleeve he no longer wore.

And now he is hard. His heart vowed not to mend,

No more belief in love, forever death as his end.

But the story is fading, the past laid to rest.

And now their true love must face one final test.
