Author's Note: I bring you more Fangrai. Sorry, not sorry. I have this idea in my mind and I'm just running with it. I hope it'll be an enjoyable read!
Mugs clattered, people danced, a wash of chatter mixed with music filling every empty inch of the crowded bar. Bringing the mug to her own olive lips, Yun Fang took a swig of the beer, foam collecting against the top of her lip gently. "Mmm," She nodded her head at her friend Lebreau, the brunette smiling widely. "This has got to be the base ale yet," Her face painted with delight before she hastily brought the beverage back to her lips, chugging down the rest of the substance as quickly as possible.
"Slow down, Fang. Wouldn't want you to get too drunk," Lebreau warned, her voice laced with a chuckle.
Fang shook her head, kinking a brow at the other brunette. "Now, ya know I can hold my liquor a lot better than that. You're gonna have to give me another round or two." The huntress leaned upon the wooden surface of the bar, returning the now empty mug.
The bartender grasped it in her hand, stepping over to the tap, pulling the lever and refilling the mug with a laugh. "It's always 'one more round' with you." She gracefully returned the mug to her friend. "So, how was the hunt today?"
"A lot better than I reckoned. Hefty amount of gil to be made out there still and I've got plenty to spare for a while." She boasted, sipping casually on her newly filled glass. "Mmm," She hummed once again, her emerald eyes sparkling.
A vast crowd of cheers could be heard across the bar, catching Fang's attention. Her ears perked up, listening to the men as they began clapping excitedly. "What's going on over there?" She questioned the other brunette, eyes curious as she tried to peer through the thick crowd. It was an impossible task, though she knew the area of the bar well as that's where the pool table sat.
Lebreau shrugged, "Beats me."
Fang's eyes remained glued on this excited crowd of people, her eyes narrowing marginally as their cheers could be heard over the rest of the chatter and music. Grasping her mug off the bar, she canted her head over her shoulder before spinning off the stool, "I guess it's time to go check it out then, eh?"
"Hand it over," A demanding voice stated, the rose haired woman's hand laid out, palm facing upwards towards the scrawny and pale male. His eyes were dark, hair bright red, spiked up in an odd fashion. "I won. So, hand it over." The woman prompted once more, her gloved hand remaining in place.
Some of the men crowding the area laughed at the other male's loss before he begrudgingly pulled out a small pouch of gil from that had been tied to his belt. "I'll be back." His face stern, eyes narrowing at the shorter woman whose strawberry locks were cast to one side of her head.
A smug smirk filled her lips as the pouch entered her hand. She set it atop the nearby table, a small stash of other pouches had collected in a pile. "Who's next?"
As Fang watched a skinny male push through the crowd, on his way towards the exit of the bar, she caught a glimpse of an unfamiliar woman among the group, catching the look of confidence written upon the other woman's face. Hmm, she thought, curious as to why she looked so smug. That's when Fang stopped a nearby worker, gesturing with her head towards the woman, "Bring her a beer off the tap." A sly smile filled her face, her eyes darting up and down the pinkette before a flirtatious twinkle lit up her eyes.
"I asked, who's next?" The stranger who was new to the bar repeated herself. "Nobody?"
The huntress cast a glance at the table which had seemed stacked with small pouches of gil. She huffed out a short laugh, downing the rest of her beer before placing it against the wooden surface. Bringing a solitary finger to her chin, she pondered over her options before she spoke, "What's the matter, boys? Ain't ya got the balls to take on this woman?"
The males grew silent, embarrassed even. The other woman's attentions fell upon the huntress, cerulean orbs meeting emerald. She crossed her arms over her chest, tilting her head to the side carefully. "Do you?" She challenged, eyebrows elevating ever so slightly.
Fang's eyes widened marginally. "'Ey, don't you question me, missy." She brushed by a couple of the men, closing the distance between herself and the odd woman.
The newcomer motioned towards the pool table. "Show me what you got then."
"Tsk," The brunette collected the pool cues, offering the challenger one of them. That's when she noticed the surprised glances the men gave each other. "You already know 'm the best one 'round these parts to play this game." Fang reminded them, almost in a stern manner. None of them said a word.
The challenger accepted the pool cue, watching as the brunette collected the balls and began shaping them near the front of the table inside the triangular rack. "We'll see about that."
"Now, listen 'ere," The huntress began, "If I win, I take all that gil." She cast a sideways glance at the small table.
"And if I win?" The other woman questioned, her face concentrated.
Fang huffed out a small laugh, "You'll just 'ave to see then, won't ya?"
"Ooo," All the men in the crowd said, almost on cue in unison.
After setting up the balls, Fang waltzed over and handed the strawberry haired woman the pearly cue ball. "Ladies first."
The stranger grasped the ball in her hand, azure hues flicking between the ball and the huntress. "Hmph," She breathed out, walking right past the woman and towards the table. Placing the ball upon the table, she leaned over, aiming the cue and aligning her shot. Breaking the balls, she watched as they all bounced around the table, sliding into the edges before two of them were pocketed. "I'll be stripes." She concluded, glancing over her shoulder at the brunette.
"Fine with me." Fang responded coolly, obviously not impressed though some of the men surrounding them clapped in excitement.
The soldier crossed around the table to where the cue ball had landed, aligning another shot against the crimson striped ball. She took her shot, the ball slid towards one of the edges, though it didn't sink into the nearby pocket.
Fang smirked to this and before she could walk over to take her turn, the waiter had returned with the beer. Fang watched as he gave the other player the mug and though she looked surprised, that smirk grew wildly on Fang's face when the other woman accepted the beer and began drinking it. "It's good, 'eh?" Finally walking over to the cue ball, she leaned towards the table, "Get me another round, won't ya?" She prompted the waiter to leave and then she aimed for the solid yellow ball.
They both took their turns, some balls bouncing off the walls of the table while a few had successfully sunk into the pockets. Each woman remained confident, round after round of beers returning to the small table. Both women drank each glass without hesitation, to the point where Fang's eyes had now glossed over and she could feel a delightful buzz pulsating within her core, her head awash in a blissful state, her legs slightly weaker than before. There was only two balls left, the eight ball and a the solid sapphire ball. It was the stranger's turn and she made a mental prayer to Etro that this odd woman couldn't sink the last ball to win.
As the pinkette leaned across the side of the table, fixated on the ball, Fang couldn't help but check out her backside, the way her body curved and the way her locks flowed slightly beneath her shoulders. She bit her lower lip, almost lost in a trance until the other woman struck the cue ball and she watched it bounce against the eight ball, creeping up upon a corner pocket. Gradually, the ball came to the edge of the pocket, merely centimeters away from sinking in. That was when it fell into the socket, the men cheering wildly as the strange woman had successfully beaten Fang.
"Looks like you aren't the best around," The pinkette stated, confidence laced in her tone of voice.
"Tsk," Fang shook her head, lowering it in defeat but once she rose it again, the woman stood right before her, hand out as she prompted Fang for her prize. "I don't have any gil for ya," The huntress admitted.
"So? You said if I won, I'd just have to see. What's the prize, then?"
Fang leaned the pool cue against the wall, reaching over and grabbing the pinkette's pool cue as well before propping it up next to the one she had used. Accepting the woman's hand in her own, she gave a gentle tug to her arm. "Just follow me," A flirtatious smile spread wildly across her lips.
Hesitation showed on the stranger's face, but then she shot the brunette a challenging look. "This better be good."
"Oh, trust me. You won't be complainin'," Fang chuckled. Thankfully, she was able to tug the woman away from the table, lead her through the massive crowds, maneuvering through the sea of regulars who enjoyed the establishment as much as she had. They came upon the restroom, and the brunette cast her eyes around the entire establishment, making sure there was no one following suit. Once she lead the stranger inside, she immediately checked the perimeters of the space, that smirk not faltering from her face when she realized the coast was clear.
"I don't understand what this has to do with winning a round of pool..."
"Hehe," Fang breathed out, then carefully guiding her towards the counter top where the sinks resided, backing her up against the counter. She noticed the flush of porcelain cheeks, the ruby color that swept across the other woman's face as she pressed her body flush with the soldier's. Her eyes met the sapphire hues of the woman, emerald orbs getting lost in the beauty of them under the dim lightning of the restroom. She brought her lips dangerously close to the pinkette's, ghosting them over pale counterparts. "Now, tell me your name," Fang whispered, her hands found the white jacket the woman wore, tugging her in a hungry fashion as close as possible to her body.
The stranger's breath hitched, her hands promptly finding a resting place against the huntress' sides. Eyes flicked down towards the woman's lips before they fell back in line with Fang's. "Lightning," She revealed.
Kinking a solitary brow, the huntress grinned at the answer. "Well, Lightning, it's nice to meet ya." She cooed, contently. "I'm Fang," She added after a brief pause, allowing her heated breath to mix with Lightning's.
The soldier's posture had stiffened in surprise. This wasn't exactly the prize she had expected to win. Carefully, fingertips ran upwards towards Fang's arms, then they glided over the tinted skin, towards her shoulders, feeling every muscle beneath the pads of her fingers.
Fang moved her lips a fraction, finally sealing the space between them, her eyelids swinging shut on cue. Thankfully for her, Lightning returned the kiss before snaking one of her hands behind Fang's head and tugging at her two toned chocolate strands in a hungry fashion. Fang wasted no time in deepening the kiss they shared, her tongue caressing the pinkette's. To this, she received a pleasant groan, and she tried her best to control the smile that appeared upon her lips while she feverishly kissed the other confident woman.
Pressing her body firmly into Lightning's, the brunette brought both her hands to the other woman's hips, hoisting her upwards and sitting her atop the counter. To this, Lightning's legs wrapped around Fang's waist, her fingers locking tighter into Fang's hair. "Mmm," the older Farron sister moaned in response. Fang's hands ran across Lightning's legs in a teasing manner, fingertips gliding across silky skin in a back and forth movement.
Neither of them broke the kiss, neither of them needed oxygen quite yet though they took short breaths between kisses. Fang began to fumble with the belt that secured Lightning's jacket, undoing it before she pried open the article of clothing, revealing the short top and the woman's abdomen. Finally breaking free, Fang brought her lips upon Lightning's stomach, her ears attentively listening to each sigh spilling from pale lips. She brought her fingers towards the zipper of Lightning's top, unzipping it in haste. The passionate moment between the pair caused both of them to breathe shallow and short breaths.
That was when a blaring sound came from Fang's side; an annoying ringing from her waist. "Shit," She cursed, fishing for her phone. Lightning didn't cease from the moment, her lips quickly crashing into Fang's neck, gliding across her olive skin before her tongue dipped out and slid up towards Fang's ear.
Pressing the button, Fang answered and brought the phone to her vacant ear, the pleasant feeling of Lightning's tongue causing a shiver down her spine. "Yeah?" She questioned.
"Fang!" Vanille stated on the other line, voice cheerful and full of joy.
Lightning's tongue then hit Fang's ear and the huntress had to stifle a moan, biting down on her lower lip. The pinkette's teeth raked against the lobe, tugging gently at the sensitive flesh before she sucked on it. "'Nille, I'm... a little.. busy right now." Fang stated, trying to sound collected.
"I just wanted to see if we were still on for tomorrow's hunt!" Her friend's vibrant voice caused Fang to laugh gently, though her mind was still in a blissful state at everything Lightning was teasing her with.
Lightning's hands found Fang's sari and she tugged on the fabric, bringing heated kisses to the woman's jawline. "Yeah, yeah. I'll still go with ya," The brunette was about to lose it as each kiss pressed against her body ignited a fire within her bones. She was definitely not paying much attention to the conversation with her fellow sister pulsian.
"See ya tomorrow, then!" With that, Fang hung up, trying to secure her phone but it fell with a thud onto the floor.
"Fuck," She then forgot all about it once Lightning's lips melded with hers once again.
