Watching His Princess Sleep

Naruto loves watching his beautiful princess while she's awake, but he also loves watching her while she's asleep.

The sun kissed her face as she leaned back and laughed delicately. It drew a line of light from her chin to her perfect throat.

He loved making her laugh even if it was at some stupid joke of his.

The rain was caught in her hair, making the tiny droplets there shine like diamonds. "The crown of raindrops on your head is almost as pretty as you-!" He was delighted to see her flush a little bit.

He loved making her blush. Loved everything about her! Most of all though, he loved watching her sleep.

Her face was relaxed as she dreamt, her kissable lips slightly parted, long lavender hair spread out across the pillows. Her chest rose and fell with every gentle breath and on her lips were parted in a slight smile. Propped up on one elbow, Naruto stayed awake into the late hours of the night just watching his princess sleep.

It was hard to believe that she'd ever love someone like him but here they were, lying side by side, married for two years.

Naruto had managed to become Hokage after extensive training, but without her cheering him on and staying by his side he could never have made it. Never would've become the man he was today. She moved slightly to face him and Naruto sighed, content. Every day he went out into the world and saw amazing things and beautiful women, yet none held a candle to his princess. No matter who tried to drive them apart, whether it be Hisashi or death, they never left one another's side, drawing strength from their beloved. On missions, they were an unstoppable team, though, that would not stop them from taking refuge in the other's arms. Both would huddle under the blankets, protecting each other from any fearsome storm outside.

Resting his elbow he laid down on the large bed, the springs creaked quietly as he shifted into a comfortable position. Still half asleep she cuddled into his side. He gently ran his fingers through her long, beautiful hair.

She made a slight noise of content and snuggled closer. Outside it began to rain heavily, droplets drumming on the roof of their house. Far away a large boom of thunder echoed and lightning flashed on the walls, casting a bright shadow. Planting a small kiss on the flesh of her forehead Naruto curled up next to his wonderful woman. His princess, Hinata.

AN: Sooooooo? Do you guys like it? :) I told you I wrote it at 12...SO FLUFFY! The original idea was that Naruto was Hokage and was distant to his wife, Hinata so she thought he was cheating on her. He comes home one day and says that they need to talk and Hinata starts to cry because she thinks he wants a divorce. That isn't it at all and then Naruto changes his working hours to so he can have more time with her. However, there's already a fanfiction like that called "Already Gone" by sassiwrites4u so instead I was given a free rein to do anything as long as it involved rain and NaruHina. THIS IS THE (Slightly crap) END RESULT! I blame staying up at 3 in the morning and then going to sleep at 1 am the next day. D: BLEAGH. It's to short…
