Before you say anything or make assumptions, I'M NOT HIGH. u_u Liechtenstein can go with anyone. She's like chocolate. And I happen to find Russia and Liechtenstein incredibly adorable.

Btw, I don't own Hetalia, but I'm asking for it for Christmas. x3

Russia shuffled through the front door of his immense house, shrugging off his coat and slipping off his clunky boots before he tracked any snow inside. He was unused to being greeted by silence and was rather lonely after his sisters and three Baltic 'friends' left him for good. The bear of a man tried to push the forlorn thoughts from his mind as he wandered into his office and sat down at his large desk covered in papers. After just a minute of work, Ivan allowed his cool violet eyes to drift to a vibrant presence in the room and smiled very faintly. He extracted it from the vase to hold it tenderly as if it were the person it made him think of-Liechtenstein.

She reminded him of a sunflower. She was dainty and stunning in the most beautifully modest way possible. She was an insect in his mammoth shadow, but her vulnerability and fragility only charmed him more. Even so, Liechtenstein was a wilting flower; something was blocking her from the sunlight and fresh air and freedom she needed. That barrier was portrayed by her overbearing protector, Switzerland. It seemed to Russia he was preventing her from blooming to her fullest even if she did respect and love the man as a brother.

The blond girl sat sweetly during the meetings, always observing silently from her personal bodyguard's side. She would politely listen to the conversation even though she was rarely involved, unlike quite a few of the larger nations. Then, once the gathering had been adjourned, he would enviously watch her exchange a few timid words with his little trembling Latvia. He wondered if they had affections for each other or if the two young nations were simply seeking solace in one another. Either way, Russia did not really care and promptly abducted the young Baltic man before they could find out. By that point, though, Switzerland would have already pulled his sister possessively away to lock her up until the next meeting.

For that reason, he hated the Swiss. Who gave him the right to hide her from the rest of the world? (Being selfish and not sharing is mean, da?) Though he supposed he understood; if he had the little country under his protection he wouldn't allow her to leave his sight either.

She wasn't a powerful nation at all, yet she always caught his attention with her naïve, emerald doe eyes and cutely cropped straw blond hair. Her soft yet bright smile had melted his heart; both a wonderful and painful experience for the cold Russian. He wondered wistfully if it was because her beautifully pale and delicate face would never turn to look at him when he spent entire World Conferences watching her. Everyone around him seemed to be aware of the blatant staring-all but the target of his unrequited devotion.

Ivan returned the cut sunflower to its vase and decided she was even more beautiful than a flower.

A/N: *shot for being cliche and corny*
I wrote this little drabble-thingy out of boredom in like, 30 minutes, so it's probably not that good. x| Just kind of a Russia x Liechtenstein whim. And Russia's probably OOC. Do I care? No. xD

And this looked way longer in MS Word. ;u; Darn...
