Great Angels
AN: This is not really a story, but more a few thoughts I had about everybody's favourites Angel Quartet. Since I am not a native speaker, you might find some grammar or spelling mistakes in this – I apologize.
Uh…yes, I almost forgot: It's all Yuki-sama´s!

Great Angels.
They will laugh if you call them like this. No-one of them considers himself great. Strong, yes, mighty, of dazzling power and enchanting beauty, yes, but never great. There is not much greatness to be found in heaven nowadays and definitely not among their little group.
They aren't friends. True, they mean much to each other, but even in the old days, they rarely sat together for the great council they were to bring to angels and humans. They have made themselves for manipulations and half-lies, masks and mirrors, mission and battles, struggles and wars and in the process they became to tired of almost everything. Something in them has stirred, and it is sick of Judgement, divine or otherwise.
Great angels.
Michael, first and foremost, the youngest of the group but definitely the loudest. When he was a young boy, everybody thought he would bring down heaven and eventually, he had believed them. Even now he sometimes looks shrewd and even hateful. Michael, an angel that looks like a child but who never had a childhood.
Raphael, ever the Casanova and the trickster. A young man with cold azure eyes and angelic blond hair. Always searching for love, yet frightened to find it, he became self-destructive, self-absorbed and scandalously bitter over the centuries. Raphael, an angel without the slightest hint of faith.
Uriel, the flame of God. Tall, strong-chested with olive skin and soulful hazel eyes that will always be the mirror of his patient misery and guilt. For centuries nobody has seen him and other centuries will pass before anyone will ever again. Uriel, deeply in love with his precious guilt.
Jibrille, seemingly vulnerable and empathic, God's chosen messenger is a brilliantly trained student in the fields of art, literature and philosophy, a moralist who wants to change the world for the better but who always tries way too hard. Jibrille, an angel who thinks that heaven is not enough.
Great Angels.
They all are, in one way or the other, doomed.
