Light the fire in my soul (Edward Cullen one-shot)

I do not own Twilight in any way.

Although I sucked the venom from her veins, Bella didn't make it.

Now, there was another new girl at Forks High School.

"C'mon Edward. You've got to go", Alice said.

"Alice is right son", Carlisle said.

I went to school, trying to ignore the looks of sadness and pity.

Her table seemed to be getting along fine without her.

A new girl walked in and my whole world stopped.

She looked just like my Bella, only different. She had a round face, a button nose, small pouty lips, and big blue eyes. She had Bella's hair, only the girl's was a perfect honey brown.

The cafeteria went silent.

The girl looked around and sat at a table by herself.

I stood up and walked over to her. "Could I sit here?" I asked.

She nodded and pulled out her lunch. She took her sandwich and handed half of it to me.

"No thank you", I said, "But I'll save it for later".

She smiled.

"I'm Edward Cullen", I said.

"Belle Dove", she said.

I smiled.

"What?" she asked.

"Nothing. You remind me of a friend", I said.

She placed her hand on mine. "I heard about her", she said, "I'm sorry".

"It's okay", I told her.

"Sometimes time is all it takes to heal", she said.

Bella never would've said something like that.

Belle had lit that fire in my soul again.
