Friends…put you to bed when you're drunk

Spoilers: A winter's tale

Missing Scene from A winter's tale, I think that this would have been a cute ending to this episode. Friendship story, No, shipping. I love their friendship way too much. I'm rambling at least I think I am. I don't know I have never done an author's note before. Please review, I am so nervous about anything I write.

"I' am going to go whip us up two tall glasses of ice water." Jen said as she stood up and grabbed the ice bucket. "Jen" Jack called out. She kneeled down in front of him. "I'm sorry" He said echoing the sentiment she expressed earlier. She patted his hand and was out the door. Ohmygod, what was I thinking, this is JEN !, thank god she had the brains to stop it. God, how drunk did I get to think that would be a good idea. This is ridiculous.

JEN POV

"What the hell just happened. Oh, yeah, I just made out with my gay best friend. I mean what was I thinking that oh yeah if he drunkenly says he loves me than it's okay. Yeah nice going Jen this was a great idea. You know what he is probably beating himself up too back in the room. Whatever we'll just talk about it in the morning. She shoved the bucket under the ice machine and filled it up and yanked it out. Better face the music. Yay.

Back in Room.

No POV

"Hey, I got the ice." Jen chirped as she went to the counter and grabbed two glasses and filled them with water. "Great, will it make the room stop spinning ?" Jack said with a groan and sat up against the bed. Jen laughed and handed him the glass. "It will lighten up the hangover in the morning, but it probably won't do much now." She said as she sat down next to him. "Great." He said sarcastically. "Well, at least we didn't get caught." Jen said trying to lighten the mood. It worked and they both burst out laughing. "Feel any better ?" Jen asked as she put the now empty glasses on the nightstand. "A little bit yeah, I hate that you can handle your alcohol so much better than I do." Jack said trying but not succeeding to glare at her. "Want to watch a movie ?" Jen asked as they got situated on Jack's bed in front of the television.

They pulled up some old black and white movie. Jen kept making mental notes on things to ask Dawson about the movie. They watched the movie continuously asking each other questions about what was going on. They finally started to get. Both of them had drifted into a comfortable silence. Jack was leaning his head on Jen's shoulder. The end credits started to roll. Jen was waiting for Jack to lift his head up. She was able to stretch around and look at his face. He was sound asleep. She smiled softly and gently got up and laid him back down. She pulled the covers up and gave him a kiss on the forehead. "I always could handle my alcohol better." She choked back a laugh at this and crawled into her own bed.

FIN

A/N: I thought this could have been a cute ending to a great episode. The title came from something me and my friend and her mom always talk about. I always tell her when I ever get drunk, just hold my hair back when I'm sick, tuck me in, give me aspirin and make fun of me quietly! The next morning. For some reason her mom thinks I would be a great drinking buddy.
