Red, a Jott Drabble
Sometimes Scott just hated being a mutant. It wasn't necessarily his powers that he hated because they were pretty cool. No, what he hated about it was his visor. The stupid thing made everything red! He could barely remember a time when the sky hadn't been purple and the grass hadn't been a murky brown. However, there was one thing that made up for all the red tinting, and that thing was Jean's hair. He'd been told by many of its unusual coloring, but through the visor that took on a different meaning. It stood out among the murky landscape, almost luminescent in its brightness, seeming to project an aura about it like some sort of angelic halo. It shone like the sky during sunset, sending out one last burst of beauty before fading into night. He could look at it all day. In fact...
"Scott?"
"Yes?"
"Why are you staring at my head?"
"Well, uh, errr..."
Scott tried to hide his embarrassment, too flustered in fact to notice the soft smile on Jean's face.
