Wally was pacing up and down in the living room as he rattled off his story.

"So, I didn't get my birthday wish from Miss Martian. Artemis told me what I'd been missing the entire time. So you were right, congratulations, Miss M and Supey are a thing and have been for ages, I was oblivious. But I can't believe you worked it out from a few stories I told you about them hanging out, while I was there, in person, witnessing things with my own eyes! I know, I'm clueless, an idiot, you don't have to remind me. You and Artemis would probably make the best of friends, she so enjoyed telling me the truth and so would you, probably. You both have a passion for crushing me. But I don't care. I really, really, don't care. I mean, yesterday I saved an entire country. Sure, I got played but I brought it back in the last few minutes of the game, the little girl survived, I tricked the bad guy and he went down. And sure, it would have been totally awesome working side by side with the Justice League but in the end I realised that saving that one little girl was so much more important. Plus, I did enjoy the fact that the League was doing nothing but working on the distraction while I was fighting the real bad guy."

Wally stopped and looked over at the couch, at Jinx who was sitting on it with her arms crossed over her chest and a hard scowl on her face.

"Will you give me back my damn TV remote now?"
