I hope you all enjoy!

"Would you stay?" I asked Heather as she tried to leave me in peace.

Shutting the door, she turned to me and said "Grissom, rest, then get ready and go to her."

I nodded.

Closing my eyes, I drifted off in to a deep sleep.

I found myself on a bus, looking for my home. Dressed in a military uniform, my bags around me, I heard myself telling the lady sitting next to , me, "I'm comin' home, I've done my time. Now I've got to know what is and isn't mine."

She looked to me and patted my leg and said "It will be ok."

I shook my head, "I'm not so sure. It's been three long years, will she still want me?"

I began to panic, as we were getting closer to my house. Turning on to my street I said "Please, let me know when we are there." and I closed my eyes.

Waking up, I looked around at Heather's guest room. She was sitting by the bed in a chair, where I assume she'd been all night.

"Go to her, Grissom. She's been waiting a long time."

"I had the strangest dream." I said.

"You were exhausted. Now get ready to go to her. I'm sure she has yellow ribbons tied to every tree."

A few weeks later, when I walked towards the love of my life, I saw no real yellow ribbons, but felt the love, the understanding and the happiness of a million yellow ribbons tied around a thousand oak trees.

I came home.

A/N~ I hope you enjoyed my bit of silliness. Thanks for reading.
