Takeo can't imagine a life without Yamato and they've only been dating about seven months; if he feels too strongly too fast, no one has mentioned it.. He beams as thinks this very same thought every day after school, no matter what happens.
Takeo could be in the worst mood, but the thought of Yamato's homemade sweets (made with love, of course!) and Yamato's smile and Yamato saying she was proud of Takeo for making it through the entire day successfully motivated Takeo to keep moving forward.
He also knows that, when he's in the best of moods, Yamato would support him without asking questions or imposing ulterior motives. He learns this term from Suna, who has taught a reluctant Takeo to be more on guard with people. Yamato accepted his happiness as readily as her own.
They have become intertwined enough to the point where his happiness is hers and vice versa. Loving someone with this amount of intensity isn't frightening to Takeo, even if the feelings to threaten to overwhelm him often. However, having too much love is better than not enough. He overflows with love, and Suna isn't bothered when Takeo can't stop talking Yamato. Suna likes Yamato, too, and the feeling is mutual, which is a relief to Takeo. They are friends and they are kind to each other. Takeo loves that Suna is in his life, and has decided to stick around when he could have easily bailed to be a part of the popular crowd.
She has become so important to him that she is a part of his personality. Anger doesn't come as easily to him; Takeo is more able to articulate why he feels the way he does, even if it's still somewhat difficult. He has been changed for the better because of her, and he is immensely thankful. He's afraid, though, that he has become selfish in loving her so much. Is selfishly loving someone possible? Takeo learned that love is two sided; he is sure Yamato loves him as much as he loves her.
"Suna!" Takeo greets one morning on their walk to school; the sun is still rising, and Suna looks immaculate as always.
"Where's Yamato? I thought you two started a routine of walking to school together," Suna asked, and Takeo blushed.
"She's walking with other friends." Takeo knows where she is most of the time, and she's okay with that.
"I'm glad you can share her." Takeo seems a little worried at this statement.
"Am I selfish for loving her so much, Suna?" Suna shrugs in response.
"You're only selfish if you keep her all to herself, never to leave your site. Since you don't keep her in a cage, you're all fine as long as I'm concerned." Takeo beams: he can't imagine a life without her, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
