Expectations
Robin-Jason
I rose to the top,
From the very bottom,
Above all odds,
I became a leader.
After being leader for so long,
That became part of my personality,
A serious, hard working leader,
But along with that,
Everyone got certain expectations of me,
That I just can't live up to.
Everyone expects me to be the fearless leader,
Just like every leader should be,
But I'm not fearless,
No one is.
Everyone wants me to be perfect,
Just like my father,
But I'm not my father,
I'm just me.
I want to just ignore them,
But they're shouting in my ear,
Telling me to be everything I'm not.
I don't want to be perfect.
I don't want to be like my dad.
I don't want to be what everyone expects me to be.
I just want to be me.
