So here's another one. I haven't done one for Sakura so here's to her. Please review, you know you want to.

Things You Have Lost

She's kneeling there in front of a tree and panting, trying to get back much needed oxygen. Her clothes are torn with blood, both hers and others, staining them. Here she is just having been through a tough battle, almost out of chakra and He suddenly appears. She knows she needs to get up-getup and prepare for another battle. But for some reason she just can't. All she sees is him, that bastard, walking calmly towards her. In a smooth motion a kunai appears in his hand as he moves closer.

She knows this is happening, but him showing up is such a surprise that all she can see is her Sasuke. Not this monster.

Her mind takes her back to the day their team, her team, was formed. She had never been so happy in her entire life. Sasuke may not have been happy about it to begin with, but she knows that soon he loved it just as much as her, Naruto, and Kakashi. They had even gotten closer, her and him. Maybe not much at first, but slowly she was becoming his friend. In those first months she didn't realize anyone could experience such joy.

Then came the chunin exams. She wasn't sure she could do them, she was still so weak. He had- Sasuke had- believed in her. That kept her pushing forward to prove him right; she could do this. The time came for her to protect them, they were counting on her. She would not let him down and she tried harder then ever. Seeing the curse mark scared her so much, but she would always be there for him. No matter how much he would hurt her, how much he would deny it she knew he was thankful for her staying. She even knew how scared he was that he would lose her and Naruto. But still, she didn't see this coming.

Her thoughts flashed back to the night he left. She wishes they wouldn't, but the memories keeps playing. She had begged Sasuke not to go or at least take her with him, but still it seemed she was not enough. Did he know how much he hurt her that day? She felt as though a knife had pierced her heart and even after such a long time it still bled.

Seeing him here made the wound seem as fresh as that night causing the sting of tears to start in the back of her eyes. Stubbornly she held them; she would not cry in front of him. She's not that weak anymore.

As the memories replay themselves she asks herself so many questions. How could he give this up? Why would he destroy something so good? Didn't they matter enough? Why break his new family to the point that it will never be able to be fixed?

Sasuke's almost right in front of her now and she knows that she needs to move- needs to fight. But everything just keeps flying through her head till she can't hold it in anymore.

Sakura stares straight into Sasuke's eyes. With all the pain, betrayal, fear, sadness, anger- her whole soul- she forces out the only word she can.

"Why?"

And for a moment he pauses, and she sees it in his eyes even if it's only for a second. He doesn't have an answer.
