"Oh my gaaaaaaaaaawd. Why is she taking so looooong?" said an antsy Louis. "She's nervous, leave her alone." said Maria from the front seat of my aunts car. Finally, after a million and one years of waiting, Maxy finally came out the door looking fabulous as usual, and making me feel like the ugly duckling, as usual. I tugged on my shorts. I don't really like shorts, but Maria said they make me look tall so I wear them anyways.
Maxy got in the car and said "Sorry guys, I had to change." Me, Maria, Louis, Maxy, and my aunt Lisset were on our way to the Manchester X-Factor auditions, where both Max and Lou would be auditioning. Now before I go any further, I should probably give you guys some background information. Okay so, my name is Lillian Romell, call me Lily. Maria is my older sister. We live with our aunt in her flat. Marias best friend, Louis Tomlinson, lives down the street from us, and Maxy, my best friend, lives in Holmes Chapel. Now, let me tell you, my life used to be perfect. Like forreal forreal perfect. Well I guess it's okay now, since my aunt is only thirty but has the mind of a 16 year old and the heart of a five year old. Ok, back to my story. Me, Maria, and my parents used to live in a small, cozy house in London. We lived a happy life. But, I didn't know why, I always felt like there was some tension between my parents. Then the fights started and blah blah blah yeaaah. I don't quite remember it all that great since it was five years ago and I was only 11, but I remember coming home from school to an oddly quiet house. Usually Marias in the living room watching tv, but I couldn't find her. So I went upstairs, then I heard my mother yell "YOU CAN'T CONTROL EVERYTHING I DO JOSEPH!". "Great," I thought, "another fight." After searching for Maria for a while, I finally gave up and went to sit on the steps outside. I looked around and realized that there were new people moving in next door, the house where my bestest friend the whole wide world Maxy lived. It saddened me a little bit more. After about an hour Maria came home. "Where have you been?" I asked. "None of your business." said Maria. "ooo, feisty." I replied.
"why are you out here anyways?" she askes.
"take a wild guess."
"oh."
We sat there together for a about an hour until we finally went inside. Mind you, what was waiting for us inside was something both of us would never think was coming. My mom was packing her things, only her things. She kissed us both on the forehead and went out the door, got in her car, and left. That was the last time I saw her. Weeks passed by and my dad fell into a deep depression. The divorce had been finalized and my mom was already dating some hot-shot guy in Spain, and she now refers to me and Maria as distant cousins. And my dad moved to the states and is now engaged to a math teacher. Wonderful right?
"ARE WE THERE YET?" yells Louis, pulling me away from my depressing train of thought.
"Almost, Lou." says aunt Lis, turning up the radio.
sorry it's short and wordy, but it'll get better as is progresses, i prooomise.
