Author's Note: Well, the finale was fantastic, but sadly, Regina and Robin's walk in the moonlight was not a part of it. So, I wrote my own interpretation of what happened. This is almost purely fluff, and it does contain spoilers for the finale.

"Perhaps I could take you for a walk in the moonlight?"
"...Perhaps."

The streets were empty with everyone either at Granny's or asleep. Regina's hand was entwined with Robin's.
"Where are we going?" She asked.
"Nowhere specific."
The couple walked in silence for a little bit, still hardly believing they were back together after everything they had been through. But it was like the Charmings were so persistent on telling Regina; 'True love is never easy.'
Robin spoke, breaking the silence. "In...In that universe..."
"Nothing that happened there was real," Regina assured him.
"I know, but I can't stop thinking...what if it had been? I can't lose you again, Regina."
"You won't." Regina knew she couldn't make that promise, but the promise she was making was that she would stay by Robin until the end, whenever that happened to be.
"So, how has Henry been handling being the new Author?" Robin asked. He had been wondering about Henry, seeing as the power of being the Author had so easily corrupted Isaac.
"He broke the quill." Regina smiled, proud of her son. "No one writes our stories now."
Robin smiled as well, sharing in Regina's pride. Regina rested her head on Robin's shoulder. "Would you really leave your merry men for love?" Regina couldn't bite back the question that had lingered in the back of her mind.
"Of course not," Robin answered. "They're like my family. Why I asked you to lead them, I will never know."
Regina laughed. "So, they're like the Charmings to me. Except...I'm related to the Charmings by a forced marriage...and adoption."
"You don't lead the Charmings."
Regina shrugged. "I led them through Neverland. Until I gave up on them. And I helped Emma overcome her inner darkness."
"When did that happen?"
"When we were trying to get Lily to come back with us to Storybrooke peacefully, and she and Emma had a fight that ended with Emma pointing a gun at her head."
"What?!"
"It's a long story."
"I thought Emma was supposed to have the lightest magic possible?" Robin asked, confused. "I mean, Snow White as the Evil Queen is hard enough to believe, but Emma threatening to shoot her friend?"
"Well, to be fair, Lily did threaten the Charmings."
"See, that makes more sense."
"You know, Emma told me something in that universe..." Regina let her voice trail off.
"I thought you said none of that was real?"
"It wasn't but..." Regina looked Robin in the eye. "I love you."
Robin didn't hesitate to reply. "And I love you."
Their lips crashed together as a decision made without any words. Robin wrapped his arms around Regina, pulling her closer. Regina slid an arm under Robin's and grasped the back of his jacket. Her other hand wrapped around him and rested on his shoulder. One of Robin's hands made its way to Regina's hair and he ran his fingers through it.
When they finally pulled away, just enough to breathe, Regina couldn't hold back her smile.
"Have you ever met someone..." Robin started, "who you just knew you were born to gaze into their eyes?"
"Mmm, yes."
Regina and Robin's lips met again, and neither of them cared that they were in pretty much plain sight.
Then something changed. All of a sudden, the temperature seemed to drop five degrees. Everything just felt...off.
The couple broke apart.
"Do you feel it too?" Regina asked.
Robin nodded. "But...what is 'it'?"
"No idea," Regina muttered. "But the Charmings might know."
It was clear that no matter what was wrong, Regina and Robin's walk in the moonlight was over.
But their story together was no where near finished.
