Nemo of the See

1 An orenge CLOWNE FISSHE ther was,

2 Wit his large eyen broun and as glas

3 And a smile as wide as a wagane;

4 He was born wit oon woundede finne.

5 Nemo, as he was called, wanted no

6 Moore than that to be free to go

7 Whar he wille. And that whil at scole,

8 Which he loved atte beste, he was stole

9 After swymme into open water.

10 This fisshe was caughte as his fadder

11 Loked on. Nemo, then in a tanke fisshe,

12 Tryed, wit great corage, to eschuwe

13 The tanke wher he was called "sharke bayte".

14 Brave he was, tryng to change his feite,

15 Riskyng lif and lim, Nemo wanted no

16 More than to save his friendes and foo;

17 And scape he did, withouten drede.

18 As ye can see he was a worthy lade,

19 And his fadder loved him beste of alle

20 Though he was the only cild left to calle.
