Link walked through the woods silently. Ever since Midna destroyed the mirror of Twilight, he had never felt more alone, even after being revered by all of Hyrule as their saviour. Two hours ago, he had felt the urge to walk through the woods near the sacred grove. Suddenly, Link heard a musical tune filter through the air. Not only was it beautiful, it was familiar, too. The Skull Kid had been playing it on his trumpet when Link had come to claim the Master Sword. Hurrying ahead, Link came to a large clearing. In the center was an enormous tree with a face similar to an old man's. Two eyes, a nose, and what resembled a mustache. To the tree's side there were two gravestones. Link went over to look at them. The first stone read: Here lies Link, the Hero of Time, born Hylian and raised Kokiri, savior of Hyrule. May his name live on in glory. Moving on to the second stone, it read: Here lies Saria, Sage of the Forest, Guardian of the woods, and beloved of Link. Link's thoughts flashed back to the Hero's Shade and what he had said. "I was once known as the Hero of Time. You are my descendant, Link." His thoughts then flashed to the Green-Haired Girl whom the Shade called his beloved. "That must have been Saria." He thought to himself. Link turned to take one last look at the tree and the Headstones, then he turned and left the clearing. Once he was gone, the tree began to move, and spoke in a withering voice. "Farewell, Hero of Twilight. Farewell, descendant of my children."
