AFTER THE WAR, Ellie just wanted everything to go back to normal but she knew it would never be the same after the love of her life was killed. Colin was what kept her sane and now he was gone and she was alone. Her family tried to get her to get out of bed, but their attempts failed. She slept on the side of the bed he had fallen asleep the first time he spent the night, she held close to her heart the locket he had given to her on their third year anniversary and she kept the camera he had given her right next to the muggle photo he had taken of the two of them.

Ellie missed the blond boy she had been nervous to talk to because of his behavior and the fact he was an upbeat boy while she was the complete opposite. He brought her out of the shell she had hardened. They met when they were first years, he had just gotten unfrozen and because he was so happy, he ran right into her and knocked her to the ground. She stuttered when she talked to him for the first few times, but she finally was able to talk to him normally after that. The Blond boy to her seemed like the sunshine she had been waiting for, and to him, she was the flower he needed to help grow. They were perfect for each other.

These thoughts just made Ellie's eyes water quickly. She wanted to feel better, but she just couldn't bring herself too. Her brother knocked on her door, but he walked in anyways because he knew she would not respond.

" Hey Elle, " he makes his way to Colin's side of her bed and sits down, the bed moving slightly. "This came in the mail for you," he sets a small package next to her figure before he leaves. He did not say anything about the sender's name being Colin's name.

Ellie sits up and tears the letter open, not caring what was on the outside of the letter. The only thing in it was a single white paper. She was confused until she flipped it over. She drops the photo and begins to sob. It was the first photograph Colin had taken of her.
