SNEAK PEEK

My POV

I'd been hoping we could get the news to her quickly, so that we wouldn't be dealing with a broken girl.

But, what happens in a movie cannot be changed 100%. It can only change forms.

So, you know what happened. Save for my yelling "Aurora, come back!", it was basically the same as what y'all know from the original musical, a scene I hadn't been anticipating much. So, those three fairies told the girl about her truth, and…well…she kind of broke. Can't blame her. If I found out my life had been a lie, I'd been traumatized, too.

Anyhow, I finally opened the door, and a sight that I had been dreading was there: Aurora, crying on her bed. The sight I had been dreading as I had been walking up the stairs was right in front of me.

I knew what had to be done.

I sat down on the bed (wasn't a lot of room) and began to talk.

"Aurora?"

Aurora looked up from her bed, a heartbroken look on her face. Maybe I wasn't the right guy for the job. I was a tie to her meeting with Phillip, and that was the very thing we were trying to get her to forget.

"Don't. It's just…it's just…"

And she started crying all over again. Man, I thought Anna was sensitive, but this was crazy!

"It's okay. There's not much you could have done anyway."

I was starting to criticize my own words. Like, SERIOUSLY, ME? I was trying to comfort a broken girl, and these were the words that came out of me?

"Now, Aurora, there's something I need to talk about. It's kind of serious."

"I'm not in the mood right now…"

"Sorry, but I don't have a choice. You see, an evil fairy cursed you when you were small, to prick your finger on a spinI ning wheel, and…well, it's too terrible to say the rest."

Aurora sat up, staring at me with wet eyes.

"Let me guess. I would prick my finger and die."

"Yes, Aurora. That's what she said. However, your third fairy turned it into a sleeping curse that can be broken by True Love's Kiss."

Aurora's eyes suddenly lit up. I was kind of dreading her response.

You see, I had a theory that in Maleficent, Aurora was so heartbroken about the whole Maleficent being evil thing, she kind of chose to prick her finger in hopes she wouldn't have to live anymore.

"Yes…not in death, but just in sleep…"

"Aurora? You're not…planning…on falling into the curse, right?"

The look on her face said it all.

"Aurora, no! You're worth something, and just because you're betrothed to Prince Phillip, it doesn't mean you won't like him!"

"But, you said True Love's Kiss, right? Well, I don't have a true love. If I do decide to fall into the curse, than that means I'll be gone forever."

All hopes of calming her down went into panic! She was considering suicide by sleep! No!

Story is coming later! Looking forward to seeing you there! :)
