This is a small one shot that I wrote when I couldn't sleep. I've always had the feeling that Alois is secretly jealous of Hannah, because she attracts a lot of attention and, as a demon, has a beauty that he will never be able to surpass. Based on that, I wrote this. It`s before Ciel and Alois actually meet; when Alois wants to hunt him down.

A tut escaped the pearly pink lips of Alois Trancy, as the paper he had been writing on ripped. It was mostly due to the amount of tension the young boy was placing on the pen, but he was not in the mood for rational thought. Angrily, he swept his arm across the desk, sending a stack of paper fluttering to the floor like feathers, which scattered all around his desk.

"Hannah." Alois snapped, glaring at the unfortunate maid to whom he was referring, as though his actions were all her fault. He'd been in a foul mood all morning. Not only had he awoken from a nightmare, which had resulted in a pounding headache, but he had discovered yet another invitation to his perverted 'uncle', the Viscount of Druitt's house.

Add to that the fact that his worthless staff had still not obtained Ciel Phantomhive, and that Sebastian Michaelis was not only still alive, but unsuffering, and Alois just wanted to scream and stab the maid's eye out, like he had done to the other.

How fun it would be to see her blind, trailing stupidly after her master like a dog. Perhaps he could grab her plait as though it were a lead, and drag her along after him through the mud.

He giggled at the image, his boyish laughter as clear and lovely as windchimes in a summer breeze.

However, he soon glared at Hannah again, when she glanced up at him in curiosity from the floor, picking up the paper. Quick mood changes were common for the blonde, and for the demon maid, everyday was a delicate ballet dance around the landmines that triggered them.

"Hannah, I've told you about not looking your master in the eye before, haven't I?"

His own aquamarine orbs were aglow with such fire that Hannah quickly bowed her head, averting her gaze, and picked up the paper before standing elegantly. Normally, Alois would take his anger out on Hannah, slap her or yell at her for some tiny error, but after his disturbed rest the night before, he simply didn't have the energy. He contented himself to imagining it instead.

"Danna-sama." Hannah acknowledged in a quiet voice, bowing as she left the room. Her long, silver braid swayed with the delicate motions of her hips.

Alois glared at the door long after she was gone. That woman was always acting pathetically vulnerable and quiet...was it all to steal his butler, Claude`s, attention away from him? The blonde pondered on it. Her quiet, hushed speech. Her ladylike, elegant demeanour. Her refined appearance, the silly bandage over her left eye (that was surely healed, considering her demonic nature.) adding extra points for pity. How disgusting. She sickened him. How dare a mere servant try to steal her master`s spotlight.

He would not let her succeed. Alois would push her down, slam her into the ground with his 3 inch heels, and trample her into the mud. Claude would acknowledge him, not that woman - he was determined of that.

He could not afford any other option - his pride had suffered enough. Because, although he would not let himself admit it, Alois was simply jealous. Jealous of a house maid. And that thought disgusted him even more.

The blonde Earl giggled, resolving to win. Claude would acknowledge him, even if Alois had to rip off his limbs to force him to bow at his feet.
