Katie Bell stood beside George Weasley as he looked down on his twin's body. Tears fell freely down her face as a clear memory of Fred putting his arm around her and saying he loved her and that she was his 'angel' came to her mind. She put her hand over her mouth in silent sobs as George put his arms around her and cried with her.
Even though he may look exactly like Fred, it wasn't the same as him. Nothing would make up the place in her heart that cried out for Fred.
She hated that he was gone. She wanted nothing more at that moment in time but to somehow bring him back. She wanted him back in her arms, safe from the rest of the world, safe from the Death Eater that caused his sudden demise.
She bent down and took his hand in hers. She kissed his hand as tears fell faster down her cheeks. His hand felt cold against her lips, so inanimate, so lifeless. She shook her head and released his hand as she stood back up.
She looked down as she walked outside. Katie took a deep breath and took in the cold air that whipped against her face as she began to sob out loud. She fell to the grass with her head in her hands.
"Fred, why did you go? What happened?" she sobbed, "I loved you!"
She continued to cry out into the twilight, wanting, no, needing Fred. She stood back up, having come to somewhat of a conclusion. He wouldn't come back. She could cry and scream all she wanted, nothing would change. She hated thinking that way, but she knew it was true.
She pushed her hair out of her eyes and walked back inside. She walked to where the Weasley's were all still standing. They all turned and stared at her with tear tracks running down all of their faces.
She bent down again and looked at him, putting one hand on his lifeless arm and whispering almost silently, "I love you Fred, I miss you, I always will."
She bit her lip to refrain from crying again as she stood up, took one last look at him before walking out of the Great Hall and walking into a flood of memories of the one and only Fred Weasley.
