Carlie sat at the railway station waiting. She was waiting for something to happen. Shockingly, nothing happened.

"Hello Carlie," a voice said right next to her

Carlie jumped, and rounded on the person

"What do you want Mr Sanguine?" Carlie asked

"I want you to stay away from my son," the man said rudely

Carlie looked at him in shock

"You said that last time and I've tried but he just keeps on finding me."

"Try harder," the mad demanded and left

Carlie's face somehow managed to fall even further. A tear slipped down her face and she quickly wiped it away, annoyed at the small weakness

"You okay?" a voice asked from behind her

This voice did not make Carlie jump. She nodded and refused to respond. She heard footsteps and then felt someone sit closely next to her. An arm went around her shoulders and she was pulled into a one armed hug.

"You're not okay," the voice stated. "Now tell me what's wrong."

Carlie took a deep breath

"I can't tell you Billy, I'm sorry."

Billy-Ray took a deep breath. He was controlling his reaction to Carlie's words.

"It was my father wasn't it?" Billy-Ray demanded to know. Carlie didn't respond. "Carlie," Billy-Ray said in a low voice. "Please tell me."

Carlie shook her head and stood up.

"I'm sorry," she said again and teleported away

Billy-Ray remained sitting on the bench. Why, he thought, wouldn't Carlie tell him what was wrong?

Carlie and Billy-Ray had been dating for just over two years now. Even though they both knew that Billy's father was against it. They had shared and told everything to each other, or that was until Billy-Ray's father had begun to intervene. Since then Carlie had been avoiding Bill-Ray like the plague.

Billy-Ray stood up and started off to his father's mansion. It was time that they had a little talk

Carlie sat trembling in the corner of Mr Sanguine's dungeon. Why he had a dungeon? No-one knew. Mr Sanguine paced the floor in front of Carlie. Sometimes he'd stop and stare for ages. It creeped Carlie out.

"I told you to stay away from him," Mr Sanguine growled. "And you failed to do so. Now you must pay with your life."

Mr Sanguine pulled out a sharp knife. Carlie let out a little whimper. Mr Sanguine approached Carlie with the knife. And then he struck. It was a straight hit to the heart. There was no chance of survival.

"Sir!" Billy-Ray called

"In here!" Mr Sanguine called from another room

Mr Sanguine was sitting on a couch and all that Billy-Ray could see was the back of his head

"What did you say to Carlie?" Billy-Ray demanded to know

"Nothing," Mr Sanguine replied. "But what she does, and has done, is her own fault."

Billy-Ray was pulled up short

"Pardon?" he asked

"I assume you didn't know she was dead then?" Mr Sanguine asked

"She's not dead," Billy-Ray ground out slowly

"I beg to differ," said Mr Sanguine

Billy-Ray rounded the couch and stopped dead at the sight he saw. His father had Carlie's head in his lap while he stroked her hair. Carlie's chest and stomach were all cut open and half or all of her organs had either been cut out or spilt out. There were deep cuts and scratches all over her body. Billy-Ray felt sick

"She looks beautiful doesn't she" Bill-Ray's father asked in awe

A raging sadness like none he'd ever felt before consumed Billy-Ray and he fell to his knees in pain

"She was asking for it," Billy-Ray's father started talking. "I warned her that this would happen but no…"

Billy-Ray stopped listening and sneakily pulled his straight razor from his pocket. His father continued talking oblivious to the threat. Billy-Ray lined up his shot and struck.

Billy-Ray's father looked up from his monologue n shock. Billy-Ray smiled as he fell over dead. He could now join Carlie in the after-life

'Well that's just dandy," Mr Sanguine mused. "What the hell am I going to do with two dead bodies?"
