Prompt fill from the Kink Meme, because I hate the idea of Loki being evil... and this was a fun prompt. I may write more in it... I haven't decided yet.

"What is this?"
Thors voice boomed around the kitchen, startling the group around the table, all of whom looked up, surprised and a little guilty; save for one, who smiled widely.
"Ah, brother, what perfect timing; come, come; we have another space if you want to play."
Thor frowned, obviously deeply confused. "Loki, what is the meaning of this?" he asked, torn between sheer relief that his brother was here, in the kitchen of the Avengers mansion, and suspision as to why he was, in fact, here.
Loki looked down at the board laid out on the table. "If by meaning, you mean purpose, I must confess to not truly knowing, but it is a rather exciting game. Though we did have to change the rules somewhat to allow for the disposing of other players, to make it a tad more interesting."
Thor shook his head, seeing his brothers diversion for what it was. He cast a questioning look to the still silent others, and waited for the explanation to come.
"Well..." Captain America began.
"It's sort of a funny story." Hawkeye continued when Captain Amercia did not.
"Loki here... well he..." Tony tried his hand at explaining as well.
Loki grinned brightly at Thor. "I'm joining you now!"
Thor blinked, and then frowned deeply. "What trickery is this brother?" he asked.
Captain Amercia shook his head. "It is no trick Thor." he said.
"Would that it were." Hawkeye said, with the air of a man who had had more than his fill of pranks.
Tony smirked suddenly. "Oh, I don't know. He's been useful."
"Useful?" Loki asked archly, blinking slowly and pointidly. "As I recall, you would have been dead, oh what was it... three times if not for me?"
"To be fair, one of those times was your fault." Tony responded with a grin.
Loki nodded easily. "All right, two times then."
Thor watched the byplay, his frown growing ever deeper. "I was gone but for a month, what has occured in that time?"
"A lot." Hawkeye sighed.
"Maybe you should take a seat and we'll explain." Captain America said, offering a small smile.
Thor strode forward and took the last seat at the table, and waited for the explanation; knowing before it began that it was going to be a long one, on par with the tales of old. Because Loki was Loki, and could never do anything by halves.
